Honchos at Superman's comic book home, DC Comics, said this weekend that one of their most identifiable (but as of yet unnamed) straight characters will soon be coming out of the closet, according to a report.

I hope sales go down 90%.

AC/DC Comics. |
Can we run a sweep on who it will be?
I’ve always thought Superman was a bit suspect, myself. Besides, they’ve been trying to kill him off for years now. This might really do it.
Is it Aqua-man? That poor guy always gets the cruddy jobs!
We are on fast track toward Gomorrah. The same GOD our creator who judged Sodom and Gomorrah will also judge this nation unless these acts are stopped.
This is breaking news?

My bet is on Buttman ... who in real life is none other than Bruth Wayne ... the Royal Idiot!
Do it and I will never watch a Super Hero movie ever again.
What Bruce Wayne or Superman does in their bedroom is none of my business and I don’t want a scintilla of details...
simple.
boycott ALL DC comics.
call them and explain you won’t allow your children to be exposed to such indoctrination and overt propaganda. tell them you’ll make sure to spread the word at the next PTA or church meeting.
done.
they’ll feel that.
the left boycotts, ridicules, and attacks anyone with conservative beliefs... it’s about time kharma smacks them in the face
Why does everyone assume it is a male character ? Wonder Woman is an Amazon from an island of all women suspiciously like the Greek legend of Lesbos, isn’t she ?
Superman. Looked gay in the ‘50’s, and Lois too obvious a cover.
“Aren’t thethe tighth jutht Fabulouth, with their darling little crotch-pocket!?”
Problem is....Marvel already beat ‘em to it. Hasn’t hurt their bottom line (NO PUN INTENDED) one bit. Okay...granted, Northstar isn’t one of their main characters, but he came out YEARS ago and he’s still around...and so are they.
Now...if the DC character that comes out is one of their “Big 4” (Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern), THEN you may see more of an impact.
I’ll wait and see.
I don’t think it can be the Flash or Superman....because of the practical and limited side of condoms. It has to be Wonder Woman.
Wonder Woman wouldn’t surprise me in the slightest. If I were a betting man, that’s where my money would be.
There’s a bondage subtext in Wonder Woman; the creator, William Moulton Marston, admitted as such. Aside from being the inventor of the lie detector, he had an interest in bondage. Here’s a couple of quotes of his:
“The only hope for peace is to teach people who are full of pep and unbound force to enjoy being bound... Only when the control of self by others is more pleasant than the unbound assertion of self in human relationships can we hope for a stable, peaceful human society... Giving to others, being controlled by them, submitting to other people cannot possibly be enjoyable without a strong erotic element”.
In reference to Wonder Woman’s male readers, he said, “Give them an alluring woman stronger than themselves to submit to, and they’ll be proud to become her willing slaves!”
So, yeah........my money’s on Wonder Woman. Of course, I could be wrong; maybe she’s just a dominatrix.
Robin is sooooo obvious. But this is fiction...How about the joker??
It is absolutely amazing how the 2%’ers are leading this country around by the nose...
The articles at ‘Bleeding Cool’ indicate it’s a male queer.
DC vice president Bob Wayne likened DC's change in tune to President Obama's shift on gay marriage, explaining that DC's policy has evolved, the report says.
as lame as society has become, expect to learn all hero’s in recorded time were gays/lesbians/freaks
and be required reading in all govt controlled schools history classes

“I hope sales go down 90%.”
Does anyone actually read these things anyway? If not for these stories I would have never known comic books were still being printed...
“Kids read super hero comics.”
I honestly didn’t know that; I can’t believe they can compete with video games and Harry Potter. I never see comic books for sale anywhere, so I just assumed it was 50 year-olds with nothing better to do that were re-living their childhoods that were the target audience. I remember seeing some in a barbershop when I was kid (around 1980), and those books were old back then. I thought these had gone the way of Atari...
That pic is awesome. Thanks for my morning chuckle.
I vote Jimmy Olsen.
Ac/Dc comics.
Ac/Dc comics.
Do you like fish sticks?
You’re a gay fish!
They were a dime when I was a kid. Now they’re about 5 bucks. ridiculous
So it’s not Lois that keeps Clark at the Daily Planet. It’s been that Jimmy fellow all along.
Naw. Batman. He’s always hanging around that young boy Robin.
I think the subtext here is rapidly becoming text.
“They were a dime when I was a kid. Now theyre about 5 bucks. ridiculous”
I don’t remember them being popular with kids when I was in grammar school (late 1970s, early 1980s), so I always thought of them as something kids had enjoyed a few years earlier.
I am Betting Booster Gold
He can change his name to Boostyer Stool
True
The whole thing is wrong on so many levels, sometimes ya just gotta show it with making it even more wrong to show the insanity of it all.
And you are right about the public service announcements, they were cheesy, but right.

“I vote Jimmy Olsen.”
Not even on “Lois and Clark” would Cub Reporter Jimmy Olsen be considered a superhero.
