The parents do not have to be born in the US for a child to be a natural born citizen, the parents must be citizens at the time of birth of the child.

The meaning of “natural born” has been discussed here on FREE REPUBLIC extensively for four years, possibly more than it has since it was written in the constitution through 2007.
This is where the current experts on “natural born” are now found. These experts range from high school grads who can read to attorneys allowed to plead a case to the US Supreme Court.
