President Obama lost more than 40 percent of the vote in Tuesdays Kentucky Democratic primary to the uncommitted option the latest example of the incumbent president failing to win votes in an uncompetitive primary.
With 99 percent of precincts reporting in the Bluegrass State, Obama led uncommitted just 58 percent to 42 percent. Obama trailed in more than 60 Kentucky counties.
It was just the latest episode of the president taking less than 60 percent of the vote in a primary this year.
He ceded 41 percent of the vote in West Virginia to an incarcerated man in Texas named Keith Judd, and in Oklahoma, Obama lost several counties and won just 57 percent of the vote.
Kentuckys vote was notable, though, for the fact that there werent even any other candidates on the ballot. The most the uncommitted option won so far this primary season was previously 21 percent in the North Carolina primary earlier this month. Kentucky looks as though it will double that number.

Now imagine the media reaction if that President were named Bush. :)
If a Democrat Governor or Senator had seriously challenged Obama for the nomination, he could have been in serious trouble by now.
The bitter clingers are unhappy.
This is priceless. A sitting President doing this poorly against a political non-entity is not something I’ve seen before.
Who was the last sitting President before Obama to loose 40% to uncommitted on a primary ballot?
Obama shrugs off the snub, just bitter clingers to him.
With 19% of precincts reporting, he is also struggling in Arkansas:
Obama 58%
Wolfe 42%

Who was the last sitting President before Obama to loose 41% to a Texas prison inmate?
Now, good folks......don’t get giddy. We want to totally destroy Obama politically forever, and send the entire Democrat Party down into the cesspool of low life where they so rightfully belong, forever. Democrats=Traitors, Obama=America Hater. Keep up the good fight, no matter how good our outcome looks now.
Me either. Imagine if a GOP candidate ran this poorly?
Hillary is kicking herself.
[singing] Kentucky loser whines of his own misspent life...
Thanks TonyInOhio.
More Popcorn, More Butter, Go Wolfie!
If THAT'S not a protest, I don't know what one is!
“Uncommitted” is more qualified than the current narcissist-in-chief.
This is the third state in which something similar has happened. I don’t care what current polls are showing. Obama is in deep trouble.
LOL. I got another chuckle about the dims whining about open primaries and blaming it all on GOP voters up to no good.
“The bitter clingers are unhappy.”
Well, the “coal thing” is a fairly big deal, between those who were mining it and those who found low electric rates one of the only bright spots of living here.
You're most welcome. I love sharing good news!
I suspect the news from Arkansas may be even better - Brak is losing 41% of the vote there to a man named John Wolfe, and I would not be surprised to see Wolfe hit 45% of the vote by the end of the evening.
Smell that? Smells like Victory!
I may have to revise my opinion of Obama. Previously it’s been my thought that he could disembowel a live baby on television from the Oval Office, eat it’s entrails and still get 30% of the vote.
I’m thinking it’s probably more like 35%.
You have to go back to 1968 to the last time this happened. On March 12 of that year, Lyndon Johnson barely beat Eugene McCarthy by 49-42% in the NH primary. This poor showing by Johnson encouraged Robert Kennedy to throw his hat in the ring and shortly afterwards, Johnson, sensing his doom, dropped out of the race.
They're complaining about the GOP in Idaho going to a closed primary for the first time this year. They are saying that it disenfranchised voters! Turnout was at record highs.
In Arkansas so far a kook lawyer nobody knows is getting 40+ percent aganist Obama!!!!!!
Kentucky 2012: Obama 58%, Uncommitted 42%
Kentucky 2008: Obama 41%, McCain 57%
Hey, Arkansans have always had a thing for kook lawyers...Bill the adulterer comes to mind!
Yep, don’t get giddy, but everywhere we can, tie the dimrat party to obama. He is their boy. He is their community agitating marxist. He is them and they are him.
MSM Headline: OBAMA BEATS PRIMARY OPPONENT BY DOUBLE DIGITS IN RED STATE!!!
Imagine if these KY or WV results had occured to a sitting republican president. The media would be ALL OVER THIS, but tomorrow there won’t be a peep.
With no challengers he is in what seems like serious trouble already. But, watch the media work it's magic!
More Popcorn, More Butter, Go Wolfie!

Who let the dogs out? WOOF! WOOF! WOOF!
It ain't over until it is over and Obama wins 0 electoral seats (yes, I know it's close to impossible, but anything less tells me that we haven't done our job of convincing people of the evils of socialism)
There are 100 counties in KY. This will give Obama diarrhea.
Bingo. I am with you 10o percent.
GHETTOBAMA needs to be obliterated in November.
120.
You forgot about Bush vs Buchanan in NH during 1992. At least McCarthy was a senator. Buchanan was a political columnist, and he beat Bob Dole in NH in 1996.
I gotta ask.. If all these nobody’s are coming this close to beating Obama..
Why can’t Goode beat him?
He’s who I am voting for. You can twist yourself any way you’d like to justify voting for Romney if you’d like.
ping would be funny except the population that believe theyre southern dems will still mostly pull tha bambam lever in november...
Last picture I saw she’s like 250lbs now
Wolfe has 41% with 73% reporting.
#1, The big dollar contributors will look at this, Wisconsin next month, Oprah, Hillary and Barbara Streisand's refusal to campaign for him and other signs and checkbooks will slam shut.
#2, Bill Clinton still hates Obama more than he dislikes any man on earth, and Clinton still has a huge following among mainstream Dems. This will reignite Bill's not-so-quiet mutterings, and those of his friends, which will encourage more donors to not give and other big time Dems to concentrate on local and House races.
This is VERY bad news for Obama.
Because Goode is a minor defeated politician who is a horrible campaigner, and every vote for Goode is an effective vote for Obama.
If you don’t understand that, it’s back to RealPolitics 101 for you.
but a jail bird can come with in 10 points of obama. your logic fails me.
Do you know if there were hotly contested down ticket races that were bringing people out? Or did people actually carve some time out of their schedules, get in the car (at $4/gallon), drive to the polls and wait in line to vote “uncommitted”?
Many counties gave Bobo less than 10% in that primary.
been gone 12 years - memory fades
