You are saying (on a conservative board dedicated to defending the Constitution) that if these people dining in the restaurant are shown to hold political ideas that you personally find abhorrent, then you support their being the target of a felonious gang assault?

I hadn't thought about it in those terms; thanks for clarifying my thinking. I was thinking more along the lines of a situation we had locally when it was hard left (union thugs) vs. far left (enviro whackos) regarding ocean dumping. Fun to watch!
You are right, it is wrong for them to be attacked, but I still won't weep for them. That kind of example may be useful in getting some people to rethink their leftist proclivities, when their "own kind" turns on their "own kind".
