Kentucky, Arkansas primaries: Is it racism?
Washington Post ^ | May 23, 2012 | Chris Cillizza

Posted on 05/23/2012 1:53:50 PM PDT by C19fan

That President Obama lost roughly 40 percent of the vote in Democratic primaries in Arkansas, Kentucky and West Virginia over the last two weeks has drawn massive national headlines. Those headlines have drawn a collective eyeroll from Democrats — and many others who closely follow national politics — who ascribe the underperformance by the incumbent to a very simple thing: racism. No, none of these Democrats are willing to put their name to that allegation — either generally or for this story. But, it is, without question the prevalent viewpoint they hold privately.

I have completely missed the “massive national headlines”. Do they mean, like, in the news reported to us by the media? I try to pay attention to that stuff, but cannot say I have seen much of anything about this.

Would "white pride" or "white solidarity" be considered racism? Of course it would, although the black equivalents are praised as noble. Black is white, white is black--our MSM political discourse sounds like something from Alice in Wonderland.

So, it's not surprising that a vote against Obama's competence is considered racist, rather than considered on its face value as a vote against his Presidential performance.

In 2008 Colin Powell said he’d vote for obama because he’d like to see a black president. I know of some people who were recently called racists for simply pointing out what Powell had said.

It’s scary how liberals at the lowest level will repeat whatever they hear on TV. More and more liberals are calling people racists if they disagree with them. And they’re doing this because that’s what their leaders on TV are doing.

Obama was hired because he is black.

He will be fired because:
1. he is incompetent,
2. he is a marxist.

Oh good grief. The WaPo will ride the race card horse until it drops dead beneath them.

It’s dead, Ben!

The WaPo can beat the race card horse as much as they want, it’s not going to get up and start running. Nobody is going to change their minds about Obama at this stage just because they get called racist.

Americans are sick unto death of being called racist, greedy, homophobic and bigoted because they refuse to sign off on every single extreme Liberal sacred cow. They’re well past the mulish frustration stage and rapidly approaching the genuine anger stage.

For the moderate traditional Democrats, this is the only way they have right now to express their contempt with Obama. If Mitt is the Republican nominee, he could very easily reap vast numbers of these people.

The racism charge may not hold up too well in Arkansas.

The Arkansas counties in blue went to Obama; maroon went to Wolfe.

Note that many of the Wolfe counties are in the south and southeastern parts of Arkansas. Those counties also have large Black populations.

[I haven't taken the time to compare the actual county demographics with the Dem primary results.]

According to the media it is racist to defend yourself against a black person who is smashing your head into the pavement so i guess they would also see it as racist to vote against a black person who is destroying your livelihood.

When a lib accuses you of racism, immediately flip out with “HOW DARE YOU and make a monsterous scene. Lay into them both barrels with questions like “Do you realize what that accusation implies?” “Do you have any idea how many people died at the hands of actual racists and you so freely brandish that accusation over a difference of political opinion?” “What kind of a person are you?”

I promise you that person will NEVER do it again in fear of more humiliation. They might think it, but if we all responded with those words, we’d never hear a peep from the media...because they’d be to scared to have it played on you tube.

Like another Freeper said on another thread, did these voters suddenly realize after they voted for him the first time that he was black?

Yes, Chris Cillizza, since I have been called a racist for most of my life by people like you, I guess I just couldn’t face myself in the mirror any longer and decided to become a full fledged RACIST! /s

As a Republican, I voted in the Democratic Primary in Arkansas AGAINST Pres. Obama!

So, SUE ME!

After repeated exposure to the “Racism!” inoculant, I believe most of the population is immune.
