Police say a person stole Monroeville Mall merchandise and was seen on video hitting a 17-year-old employee who confronted her.
First, the girl shoplifted at Hollister on Thursday, police said.
Then, the video shows her holding the worker's hair, hitting her with a purse and kicking her after the employee followed her outside the store and onto the mall floor.
"Certainly, it looks pretty shocking on the video," Monroeville Police Chief Doug Cole said. "The young lady was being assaulted, as you can see, struck and kicked. That's at least a simple assault."
Police said the suspect will also be charged with theft after she is caught.
So far, police have declined to publicly identify the suspect. But they still want to hear from anyone who has a tip that can help them find her.

I watched it and I saw what appeared to be a couple of men step it to stop it.
From what I understand, the kid that got beat was just working in the store and saw the poor oppressed minority walk with a couple hundred in merchandise and tried to stop her. She was not on the loss prevention team. She was just a clerk.
I’m surprised that whites continue to get within striking distance. If she wanted to follow the theif until security arrived to arrest her, she did not have to get close enough for a beat down. She should have expected that very real possibility.
Simple survival strategies and realities that used to be known by people have fallen by the wayside.
The woman bitten and beaten at McDonalds - You keep your windows in the car rolled up and your doors locked when driving on Martin Luther King Bulevard areas of the city.
The young man stripped and beaten in Baltimore: You don’t walk through, go to bars and resturants nor shop in city ghetto areas nor where ghetto people hang out.
Many young white men racially beaten in various cities: You watch who is around you and divert your path so you don’t run into trouble.
The many white people victimized at large amusement parks and fairs: You boycott places where black yutes run wild and people are misbehaving.
Whites robbed and beaten on trains: You don’t live in the cities and you drive a car to your job rather than use city transportation.
The white boy who was doused with gasoline and lit on fire by blacks after school (and all the other white children who are subjected to racial threats and beatings every day): You don’t put your kid in a school that is majority minority and you don’t reside nor use entertainment in areas like that.
Every one of these recent incidents are not isolated. Whites had best wise up. Political correctness is deadly. In the early eighties, when the elite saw whites withdraw from cities and cities dying, they hunted down and cracked down on criminals and locked them up. In an environment of safety, Whites began returning to the cities. Those days are over now so whites need to alter their behavior and face reality.
That’s the only reason I clicked on this thread.

It’s been reported that the criminal has been identified, she’s 13 years old. I’m sure we’ll soon see her mother crying that her little darling is a good girl. The criminal will have a different last name than her mother and nobody from the news media will EVER ask the mother where she learned to steal and hit another person.
God help us all.

In the video you see a couple of large black guys stepping in and telling the attacker to move on.
Guaranteed, if a white guy had intervened, the two guys in the video would have taken the attacker's side.
I’ll give you 5-1 odds that the comments are gone tomorrow. Happens almost every time with articles like this.
People are really, really tired of this nonsense, and given any kind of a forum to vent, they express their feelings pretty directly.
And they’re gone already.
I think he/she thinks we should also post all the stories of whites beating down blacks.
Then he/she should patronize the other 99% of the news media that rejoice in reporting only white on black crime.
I’m wondering if malls should charge admission - something cheap like 5.00 to be credited when making a purchase. Even 1.00. That would keep the skittles and iced tea fans away.
