President Barack Obama leads Mitt Romney in Florida, Ohio and Virginia, according to new polls of the key 2012 swing states, although Obama's advantage has narrowed in recent months.

Obama has inched ahead of Romney 48 percent to 44 percent in both Florida and Virginia, according to three new NBC News/Marist polls. In Ohio, the president has a 6-point advantage over Romney, leading his Republican rival 48 percent to 42 percent among registered voters in the state. (The polls have a plus or minus 3 percent margin of error.)

Like gauging how well an NFL team will do based on pre-season games.

I think these polls are more akin to gauging whether the Cincinnati Reds would beat Chicago White Sox in the 1919 World Series... with the poll performed 5 minutes prior to the start of the series.

Oh gee look what I found!! A poll from yesterday and a CNN polling firm to boot!

Poll: Romney takes lead in Florida

(CNN) - A poll released Wednesday morning indicates that Mitt Romney holds a six point lead over President Barack Obama in the crucial battleground state of Florida.

snip

The six-point advantage for Romney is up from the beginning of the month, when Romney was at 44% and Obama at 43% in Quinnipiac’s previous poll in Florida.

snip

According to the poll, by a 52%-44% margin, Florida voters say the president does not deserve a second term in the White House, and by a 52%-44% margin, they say they don’t approve of the job he’s doing in office.

“Gov. Mitt Romney has slipped into the lead in Florida and that standing is confirmed by his much better numbers than the president when voters are asked whether they view the candidates favorably or unfavorably. They view Romney favorably 44%-35%, while Obama gets a negative 45%-50% favorability,” says Peter A. Brown, assistant vice president of the Quinnipiac University Polling Institute.

“The overall picture in Florida is positive for Romney, who is ahead 50%-37% among men, while women are divided 44%-45%. And the president is getting just 33% of white votes, compared to 85% percent of black votes and 42% percent of Hispanic votes,” adds Brown.

While the president’s favorable rating stands at 45%, a wider margin of Florida voters (76%-21%) say that Obama’s a likeable person, compared to 58%-31% for Romney. But on the most important issue to voters, the economy and which candidate can better handle it, Romney has a ten-point advantage over the president.

The survey also indicates that by a 50%-40% margin, Florida voters oppose same-sex marriage. The state has a ban on such marriages written into Florida’s constitution.

snip

The Quinnipiac University poll was conducted May 15-21, with 1,722 registered voters questioned by telephone. The survey’s overall sampling error is plus or minus 2.4 percentage points.

"Is ANYONE in FR voting for Romney?"

Romney has an 87% approval rating among GOP voters according to Gallup. Your question should be who isn't voting for Romney and who wants to give support to the marxist kenyan in the White House.

I will vote for ANYONE who runs against Obama and I don’t give a sh*t who it is because NO ONE can be any worse and I mean NO ONE. Romney sure wasn’t my 1st choice and in fact wasn’t a choice at all but it’s what we have and a no vote or a 3rd Party write in is no different then a vote to keep Obama in the WH.

Before anything can be done about reversing the death spiral we find ourselves in here in America, we first have to stop it. Like a patient who is bleeding to death you have to first stop that before the healing can begin. And while the healing part is important the stopping of the bleeding is even more so and must occur first.

Of course you do, because it isn’t true or legitimate.

Look at the demographics and notice how they re skewed to the libs.

Then check out further down in the thread the poll yesterday re Fla which has Romney up by 6 and way ahead in other areas regarding the economy etc.

- only 88% are even registered voters
- 8% don’t even really plan to vote
- heavily swayed toward Rats 37% vs 28%
- 14% undecided
- 8% have never voted in a POTUS election before and not because of age.

These are the key points, and will work to Romney’s advantage as the election draws near they will have to do polls that are accurate which will show a big swing to Romney in the closing days and will give him the momentum. You can only play this game for so long before you have to tell the truth to maintain integrity for your poll.

Obama will lose in the biggest land slide of any presidential election of modern times. He is going to be beat and beat badly.

Obama was a shiny new toy. He was interesting and different and darn it we don’t hate black skinned people so we let him in to sit on our couch with us. But instead of being interesting and different he turned out to be a stupid stoner who rolled blunts and smoked them all day while telling us how great he was. He got the munchies and cleaned out the fridge. Then he took the car because we could not stop him and wrecked it. He not only blamed the wreck on other people he took our cedit cards and maxed them out partying with his old lady and kids. After awhile we figured out that not only is Obama a thieving stoner dumbass he hates us.

Obama is no longer the shiny new toy. Today he is a toy we no longer want to play with and we are going to Craigslist the little $hit in November by putting him in the “Free Stuff” section. Just come and take him away.

Yes, I am voting for Romney.

I would prefer our Soldiers and Marines answer to someone who actually cares about our National Security services and Defense Department.

So much for your electability, moma Romney.

These girls are cheering for something Obama never promised them. They are confused.

Vanderbilt University did a poll recently in Tennessee that had Romney leading only by one point, 42-41. They polled "residents" 18 years or older--of which 25% were not even registered to vote.

If you know the answer you want in a poll, it looks like there is always a way to get it.

I don’t believe any of these polls showing this loser winning in November. Over 40% of democrats in multiple states voted against him in democrat primaries. He should lose by the widest margin in history if there isn’t voter fraud on a massive scale. They must be polling in inner city neighborhoods to get these results.
