I'm white and never had a street light outside my house nor on my street/road...don't have one now since we live outside of town...what is the big deal....
people CAN put their own lights up you know.....

The big deal, at least to me, is you have city officials making decisions on who gets city services and who does not.
With black youths roaming the streets at night, a dark street is an open invitation to crime. I don’t have this problem either where I live, but I have seen Detroit neighborhoods at night and it is scary as hell even with streetlights working.
