Ah, yes, I remember as a young lad living in the Bronx and Mater and Pater would get the Chauffer to run the butler up to Harlem with our dogs twice daily.
I remember as a 6 year old, admonishing Mama and Papa, asking why they didn’t have Jeeves pick up the poop after the dogs finished.
They came up with stories such as ‘Those’ people really don’t mind and I wouldn’t believe it.
As a 4 year old, I led the campaign to have people clean up their dog do after the dog did their business.
Papa rewarded me because he started a business making long handled scoops and flimsy rubber gloves.
I do seem to remember all this even though there was a two theatre war going on and on the rare occasion when I snuck into the limo for the ride up to Harlem, I observed a couple of ‘those’ people on a fire escape watching.
I was 3 at the time so I do remember it kind of hazy like, but I do remember loving to order Jeeves to pick up the poo.
