There's a story on the national journal about how tensions are rising again between the party's establishment and Demint.
Does this mean that the GOP-E is planning on doing what it did in 2010 - that is, not support every candidate we the people nominated?
Let's examine this logically: Deb Fischer is up in the polls by 18 points, yet the republicans have still found some reason to go out and whine. Why?
There's only one answer. They're sick of us conservatives thinking that this is a conservative party, and they don't like it. They want the good old by network to remain intact.
I hope people will keep an eye on this, I know it's got my interest.
This has to be a signal of something. I hope the GOP-E isn't planning on letting Fischer die on the vine. That would be a big mistake for them to do.
We defeated the establishment. They should man up and accept their defeat, and support the candidate that we have forced them to deal with. Even Mitch Daniels is out there in Indiana doing the walk of shame and accepting that Mourdock is the candidate.
The establishment is singling out Demint again.
You still have the Demint list, right?

Maybe they can get Sarah to go to one of Deb’s rallies ???
As a native Nebraskan I can tell you it doesn’t matter what the elitist GOP wizards-of-smart think. They’re sick of sell-out Ben Nelson and Bob Kerrey is seen as a carpetbagger who is too good to live in Nebraska until there is political hay to be made. Bruning had a lot of baggage and Stenburg is a perpetual candidate who has run for one office or another for most of his life, so they were rejected and Deb Fischer won. And will win in the general election, as this deep red state will go Republican by a huge margin, and she’s the candidate.
The Tea Party put more support behind Bruning and Stenburg and lost. Demint screwed up and backed the wrong horse too, and if he’s not man enough to admit it - who needs him?
I hope this IS the start of something: the start of a return to citizen legislators who owe nothing to anyone.
The GOPe would rather have Democrats than Tea Partiers.
They are skating on thin ice.

Of course that doesn't stop them from demanding conservatives support their candidate.
At some point logic would seem o suggest that if conservatives win very many more primaries against RNC Left-Republicans then the Republican Party must ally with the Democrat Party to fight the common enemy. Then the New Party will become a reality. It will not be a “third party” but a new part as the Republican Party was once to the Whigs.
I hope we Texans have a good candidate run against Cornyn in 2014. Would give me great pleasure to tell him goodbye and don’t ever come back.
National Republican Senatorial Committee Chairman John Cornyn, R-Texas, had a similar take. “People don’t necessarily appreciate outsiders trying to dictate who the primary selection is,” said Cornyn. “I’ve learned that at the NRSC and I think some of the various groups who participated in this election could learn that lesson now too.”
Aw, Jeez - not this “bleep” again.
The goal must be to disinfect the party. I hope someone is taking names. In my own district the tea party candidate was not allowed to speak at an establishment fundraiser, despite the fact that 61 of 62 tea party groups voted for her in a pre-primary caucus. This cannot stand.

Throw out the Republican National committee, we did it in Michigan last week by throwing the establishment hacks.

Actually the local paper made a story of it. He had well over half a million dollars, she had about 50k. The final tally was about 57% to 43%. She had a lot of things working against her though to be honest. Not bad baggage, just unconventional, ergo hard to sell. And, he isn’t horrible, just imperfect for our purposes. Understand?

It’s getting to be a good rule of thumb if the GOP-E doesn’t like the politician, s/he is the best candidate.

Already voted for Cruz....eventually these RINOs will figure out that we are taking these seats from the rats and the RINOs.....

I doubt that they’ll cut Deb Fischer loose. She is running comfortably ahead of her opponent in a solidly Republican state. Even if the establishment loses a primary, they’ll go through the motions of supporting the nominee, except under unusual circumstances.

That’s pretty much what has been happening since 1964. So far, the score is E’s 11, Conservatives 2, in presidential elections.

Sometimes, the GOPe makes me want to throw up. (Think “Mike Castle”.) Other times, I figure the moneymen are simply allocating resources in as efficient manner as possible. If Deb is up 18 points, the moneymen may choose to allocate (limited) resources to more competetive races. It doesn’t mean they are against her winning.
LOL, same here. When the clerk said I had to denote a party or preference, I asked her, "What's the least offensive?" She immediately responded, "Decline to state". So that's how I registered.

We really have only two choices; take it back and make it conservative or abandon it and start anew. The latter might take several election cycles, during which the RATs would have an advantage and could finish destroying capitalism and freedom.

Yes. John Cornyn and Johanns want Bob Kerrey elected cause they like serving in the minority.
Frankly you could put the full financial support of the GOP behind Kerrey and it wouldn’t make a difference.
