I feel something washing over me. I’m standing in New Jersey, so it’s probably red ink. No, wait a minute — it’s glowing ink! It could only be one thing: more conservative hagiography about the Garden State’s GOP governor.
Chris Christie is so not one of us that articles like “Christie Is One of Us” — a new contribution to the genre, from National Review’s Noah Glyn — are churned out regularly as the governor’s smitten admirers, from Ann Coulter to NR staffers, labor to convince us of what they’ve convinced themselves of: that an ostensibly gruff, internally milquetoast, progressive-lite, pro-Islamist Republican must be the second coming of Ronald Reagan because he has managed to make a basket-case blue state marginally less of a basket case. And “marginally” is the operative word. Glyn’s valentine to Christie is unfortunately timed. It was published just as Moody’s declared that Christie’s claim to have put New Jersey’s fiscal house in order is grossly overstated. More on that in a bit.

So-called "progressive" ideas are, in fact, regressive, for they advocate a failed philosophy which leads to tyranny and oppression, not to freedom, opportunity, productivity, and plenty. "Progressive" ideas are more aptly described by the word "socialist."

The Governor is the latter however, like poster #2, I would take CC any day over any Progressive. I like his national message and pray he doesn't die in office, we need that voice.
I am, but that’s not my point. Why do we always go for the easy insult? We don’t make racist comments about Mr. Obama because it is considered (rightly) offensive, but many have no problem using weight or appearance to insult those they don’t like. This isn’t junior high school.

I admire Christie for facing down the greedy teachers union, but there’s more to conservatism than that. Christie is wishy-washy or flat out wrong on too many other issues important to conservatives for him to be taken seriously. He’s basically a Romney / Castle / Chafee / Jeffords / Snowe / Collins / Lugar Republican.
No freaking thanks.

Romney's people better register that they're borderline within the Conservative movement. Yesterday it was Jeb Bush, today it's the enormous problems bound to follow in the wake of a Chris Christie...

Mitt listens to Rove—who spells his first name like the founder of communism-a cryptic subliminal prophecy for us all if anything—cause Rove from the beginning bashed every conservative who opposed the RINO Romney from his so-called “objective” perch on Fox News.
Mitt has to pick a solid conservative VP like McCain did or even the most fearful of Obama’s Marxist destruction of America will say, “To Hell with it! Let the commie bastard win and then let's launch the next Revolutionary War For Independence!!!”

Stabilizing property taxes had to be # 1; without it there would be no taxpayers left for whatever priorities you think he should have. We couldn’t go on bleeding companies (and the Americans that worked for them).
