Perfectly believable! No money, food, electricity, water, utilities or gas in the North so there are no cars on the road save the occasional military emporer convoy to the Glitter Palace. They all just didn’t look ‘left’ when crossing the road. Easy Peasy!

Does North Korea make a car called the K.I.A. also?

The life of a N. Korean official must be a lot like that of livestock. You are well-fed pampered and live out a comfortable existence prior to facing slaughter in your prime. Like the livestock though, it beats having to face the uncertainty of where your next meal is coming from, sickness and starvation that your brethren experience. Either way old age in that country is never an option.

Leonid Nikolaev, the man accused of killing Stalin’s perceived rival Sergei Kirov, died in a truck accident before he was able to relate the full story of the murder. Probably just a coincidence.

A very interresting read about the possible assasination of
Gen. Patton. For some reason commies love car wrecks for
covering their tracks.

Like the livestock though, it beats having to face the uncertainty of where your next meal is coming from, sickness and starvation that your brethren experience.

And you get a quick death rather than being eaten alive by predators.

What's not to love?

In North Korea the law states, “When approaching a four-way stop, always yield to the guy with the submachine gun.”

Why would north Korea even bother, its not like it would surprise anyone if they just lined them up and shot them.

You don’t read about 30 ox-cart on ox-cart traffic deaths every day.

Given the class of the people that died, they might taste better.

There are no private vehicles in North Korea, the roads are almost always empty except for the traffic cops directing imaginary traffic.

re Kirov/Nikolaev, I had never encountered this story. I read Wikipedia FWIW, and found it quite amazing. The more things HopeyChange...

Found it particularly touching that Uncle Joe was a pallbearer at Kirov's funeral. Wonder if he sent a bill for the bullet?

Bottom Line: As it was in the beginning, so it is today: The Devil never sleeps.

I’ve seen some very convincing documentaries on Patton and the accident injury , his death and the lack of an autopsy is perfectly believable in the context provided. He had pre-existing injuries that made him susceptible to this kind of thing, the true cause of death was known and his widow did not want an autopsy.
