MANATEE COUNTY --
A man was taken a hospital after being shot Saturday in north Manatee County during an argument.
According to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office, three men got into an argument about 4 p.m. in front of a home in the 4700 block of Canal Road after drinking most of the afternoon.
One of the men, Norberto Cortes, brandished a knife and stabbed Fernando Deleon twice.
The third man, Jorge Deleon, produced a gun and warned Cortes to stop. Cortes continue his assault, and Jorge Deleon shot him once in the torso, the report said.
Fernando Deleon refused medical treatment at the scene. Cortes was taken to Blake Medical Center and was in stable condition. Charges are pending.

I hope the pending charges are towards the stabber, not the man with the gun that stopped a murder.

(I miss my friends, bagels, and the NYC skyline - but not the taxes. I love the South.)
To: I still care
It will probably rest on whether Cortes or Deleon were white-hispanic.

(Feral Humans are the refuse of socialism.)
Only thing wrong with this is that Deleon may not have used enough gun. However, one-shot-stop with a COM hit, very good.

(Overwhelmingly superior firepower and the willingness to use it is the only proven peace solution.)
Dumb. He brought a knife to a gun fight. (I remember an older woman cabbie who shot an assailant who attacked her with a knife using that line.)
