US military denies parachuting into N.Korea (update)
AFP ^ | 5/29/12

Posted on 05/29/2012 4:31:48 AM PDT by EBH

The US military Tuesday vehemently denied a media report that special forces had been parachuted into North Korea on intelligence-gathering missions, saying a source had been misquoted.

Current affairs magazine The Diplomat quoted Brigadier General Neil Tolley, commander of special forces in South Korea, as saying soldiers from the US and South Korea had been dropped across the border for "special reconnaissance" missions.

But Colonel Jonathan Withington, public affairs officer for US Forces Korea, said some reporting of the conference had taken Tolley "completely out of context".

"Quotes have been made up and attributed to him," he said, denying that any US or South Korean forces had parachuted into the North.

Total denial today...LOL...

Admin. I have posted this for the update, but also linked this in the original post in breaking.

In fact, the link in the original article now points to this article and the orginal appears to have been pulled by the AFP.

I'm not sure if you will want to pull this thread, remove from breaking and place an update note on the original?

Thanks

HusseinCo don’t usually go out of their way to DENY something when they can so more easily politically SCOFF at something they don’t want to admit.

“That’s PREPOSTEROUS....” is how their denies usually go.

I find it would be treason for any commanding officer to let this infomation out! I believe it is true and it has/is happening, with little doubt imo, but to publicly confess it is beyond belief!

Current affairs magazine The Diplomat quoted ...

[Cue Meatloaf] ♫ Stop right there!
Perhaps the spokeperson for the general is right. The Diplomat? Anything foggy-bottom related is suspect on its face. For all we know the general actually said "What do you think we could do, parachute in US soldiers?" Maybe that editor from Miami ended up at The Diplomat and Trayvon-ed the quote?

After all, the whole original story didn't make a lick of sense. But most people assumed, me included, that the quote was accurate. I guess we forgot the current state of the media. (Of course, that is an assumption as well, but it makes much more sense that The Diplomat screwed it up rather than the general).

Sometimes they even forget denying and they go for a strawman’s argument or going into a fact relating to the argument that is obvious, insisting they are the experts in the domain.

THey are so narcissistic they don’t even see it.

Look at NorKo at night from Google Earth. No lights ANYWHERE except for the Capital. Would be very easy for a team of Seals (or several) to do a HALO jump undetected. If this General is not busted and charged with treason then Zero authorized it.

“Sometimes they even forget denying and they go for a strawman’s argument”

They learned that from Snopes, or taught it to them.

Of Snopes’ several hundred articles A DAY in support of their messiah, most start out with what he’s actually done, and then they change a word or two of what he’s actually done, and then call it False.

Of the outragerous ones they cannot deny, they try to go for “Mostly true” or “Mixed” or “Mutiple”.

FU Mikkelsons! You stupid o-hole-kissing traitors!

I don't know if we have or have not recently dropped behind NK lines, but if we have, my prayers are for any of our warriors tasked with that. Can you imagine being captured by the NK?

I almost think anti-capture cyanide pills would be needed on a mission like that.

From the first time I watched a documentary on our SEALS, I was very grateful that we have men who can do what they do and have sacrificed so much. May God bless all active and former American and Allied special forces. He definitely has blessed us with you all.

Leaks like this get good people killed and missions compromised

Nothing new for this administration, where having information that makes you “im’potant” just HAS to be spilled to a journalist

If Obama would send US troops to North Korea, you can bet it was to HELP the North Koreans, not go against them. North Korea, Russia, the ChiComs, Iran, Chavez, Obama are all on the same “New World Order” page.

It should be specifically noted that it was a blog on a former magazine website where this story 'broke' and was picked up by AFP. The blog entry has since been flushed down the memory hole, and a 'clarification' has been posted, noting that it's quite possible that the general was misquoted.

Sounds like there will be a job opening at the 1 star general level very soon.

More accurately, this false story will probably end a general's career, while the author goes on the Art Bell circuit to say how he's being suppressed for 'writing the truth.'

"South Korea is bright, North Korea is dark. This amazing image is included in the standard US Department of Defense briefings on North Korea. It was mentioned in a news briefing on 23 December 2002 by Defense Secretary Rumsfeld, who stated that "If you look at a picture from the sky of the Korean Peninsula at night, South Korea is filled with lights and energy and vitality and a booming economy; North Korea is dark."

The two sides [Democratic People's Republic of Korea and Russia] agreed to "promote and enhance friendly relations" in line with the joint declaration of July 19, 2000 and the Russia-DPRK friendship and good neighborly cooperation treaty of February 9, 2000.

Putin and Kim agreed during their talks to promote a Russian- DPRK political dialogue on the Korean issue and international affairs, and discussed many topical international problems, deputy head of the Russian presidential administration Sergei Prikhodko told reporters following the talks.

The two leaders spoke for an independent and peaceful solution to the issue of reunification of the Korean Peninsula, and against "any outside obstacles to this process" as "unacceptable."

The Putin-ChiCom-Chavez-Iran-Obama "New World Order"

We are creating a new world, a balanced world. A new world order, a multipolar world,” Chavez told reporters during a visit to Communist China, one of many. His “new world order” includes [RUSSIA], China, Iran,... and a significantly weakened United States, he explained.

Open Mic Catches Obama Asking Medvedev for Space on Missile Defense
March 26, 2012

"In a private conversation about the planned U.S.-led NATO missile defense system in Europe, President Barack Obama asked outgoing Russian President Dmitry Medvedev for space on the issue.

This is my last election,” Obama told Medvedev. “After my election I have more flexibility.”

“I understand. I will transmit this information to Vladimir,” Medvedev said, referring to incoming President Vladimir Putin."

http://fox8.com/2012/03/26/open-mic-catches-obama-asking-medvedev-for-space-on-missile-defense/
__________________________________________________

Obama was talking with Russian President Dmitry Medvedev when neither of them realized that their conversation was being picked up by microphones. Here is what they said:

Obama: “On all these issues, but particularly missile defense, this, this can be solved, but it’s important for him to give me space.”

Medvedev: “Yeah, I understand. I understand your message about space. Space for you ...”

Obama: “This is my last election. After my election, I have more flexibility.”

Medvedev: “I understand. I will transmit this information to Vladimir.”

“This is my last election. After my election I have more flexibility.” That statement tells us much about the president’s mindset.

The specific mention of missile defense is worrisome enough. Mr. Obama has retreated from the missile defense plan that was negotiated with European allies during the George W. Bush administration. Apparently, he is signaling Moscow that he intends to retreat further. The clear implication from the president’s comments is that he cannot tell the American people before the election what he plans to do after the election.

In addition, there is the phrase “on all these issues,” implying more is at stake than just missile defense.”

It's possible that we are parachuting troops into North Korea. As someone mentioned above, HALO jumps, low level small planes can get under radar, even boat infilitration. I'm sure there are American and SK troops that have been in and out of NK.

But I think if the general said this (and it was autorized) it is psy ops to spread sow distrust on the NK regime. There are already stories that 30 some members of their diplomatic teams have been killed in executions and "accidents". This might be a way to get Kim to pull a Stalin and do a high level purge of the military leadership.
