"We can understand why Obama is doing this," syndicated columnist Charles Krauthammer said about the president's 'kill list.' "Why they clearly leaked this to the press. They want obama to look tough, hawkish and part of that is what is happening around the world. You look at massacres in Syria, he is standing by. You look at negotiations with Iran over it nukes, they're going nowhere. There is a collapse in Baghdad. Look at the way that the Russians are treating the United States. Putin dissing Obama personally by not showing up at the G8 summit or the NATO summit as a kind of way to slap Obama in the face and he does this without any reaction."
"So here's a story that shows he is a tough guy, he kills by remote control. There are a few problem with this. Number one, is as a military strategy, we aren't getting any intelligence, this is the past of least resistance. And some of the intelligence people are telling you we are living off the intelligence of the Bush years and soon it will not be useful because it will be outdated. Second is a moral argument. Obama went around preening, particularly in '08 and even after he's elected he went around the world preening about how there is a new direction and a moral direction of the United States. How we had lost our way with Iraq with these enhanced interrogations and he's going around and killing people where he is judge, jury and executioner," Krauthammer said on FOX News' "Special Report" tonight.

Yeah, sometimes he hits the cabbage on the head.
KrautH has a way with words.
He forgot to mention the Nobel Peace Prize that Obama got early on.
Funny how you never hear about that Nobel Peace Prize any more .... I’d all but forgotten it until you just mentioned it.
Don’t kid yourself, the ‘gambit’ worked. Read the comment section on NY Times Secret “Kill List” piece.
Most dilusional idiots there said “they are comfortable that it is Obama doing it (ok the kill personally) instead of ANY repub” or something similar like that.
Thank you Charles.
Where’s CBS and the NY Times on this? They denounced (or reported on) those who denounced enhanced interrogation.
But they are not denouncing (or reporting on those who denounce) unilateral execution, done without checks and balances.
“the past of least resistance”: What’s taught in public school history classes...
Very good point that we are living off previous admins’ imtelligence efforts. Now intelligence goals are totally subjugated to political considerations: polling.
The drone war in Pakistan and the Osama killing are Zero's only foreign policy successes, as everything else has been - in typical Zero fashion - a disaster.
So the Axelrod and Obama have decided to paint Zero as a calculating, coldblooded mastermind. As the Kraut points out, it's an odd take for this no-accomplishment Nobel winner who lead the chorus to condemn enhanced interrogations. I guess he's a bloody-minded genius except when it comes to actually gathering some real intelligence that might compromise his friends in Pakistan.
Charles——, Duh, isn’t this what ALL Dictators do?
You have to admit that it is nice to think that the terrorists, the same people who would kill and killed American civilians, probably scurry off to the nearest cave whenever they hear a plane fly overhead.
The scary thought is that this could be used against Americans one day. Apparently, they are getting really good at it.
Wait til he puts Romney on the kill list.
