Chicago distances Obama from Wisconsin recall
The Politico ^ | 5/30/12 | Byron Tau

The Obama campaign is bracing for Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker to survive his recall election next week, denying that a victory means anything for President Obama's chances in the fall.

"This is a gubernatorial race with a guy who was recalled and a challenger trying to get him out of office," Obama deputy campaign manager Stephanie Cutter said on MSNBC Wednesday. "It has nothing to do with President Obama at the top of the ticket."

Asked whether the recall showdown means anything for the November general election, Cutter told host Chuck Todd, "No, I don't think so."

Some Wisconsin Democrats and labor officials have privately groused that the Obama campaign has not sufficiently been involved in backing Walker's challenger, Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett. Neither Obama nor Vice President Biden have been dispatched to campaign on Barrett's behalf.

Cutter, however, said that sending the president to Wisconsin was no cure-all in the recall election.

"If you think that the secret weapon here is sending President Obama, then, you know, I'm pleased that you believe that. But I think that actually having people organizing and volunteering and turning out the vote and doing everything they can that actually affect an election is actually more powerful," Cutter said.

Cutter insisted that the campaign and the Democratic National Committee's help for the Barrett campaign has been significant — denying reports of stingy help.

"I think that people on the ground are looking at the significant resources that we are putting into that race — whether it's people organizing on the ground, using Obama for America organization, which is one of the best in the country and certainly very powerful in Wisconsin, raising money for Barrett, sending surrogates on the ground for Barrett," Cutter said. "And I think that the Barrett campaign is pleased with what has been done by the DNC and Obama for America."

That is good news. The dim’s internal polls must even be worse than the MSN reports.

In a state Barry took in 2008 and where Big Labor and the DNC threw everything they had at it? Riiiiiiiight.

The underlining message here is that Obama, as president, doesn't have the "pull" anymore. Is this really the message they wanted to get out?

Grousing that neither Obama or Biden were dispatched to campaign for Barrett: What, do they want him to lose even worse?

So he is going up against the same guy (Tom Barret) he beat in 2010 52%-46%? Sometimes the Democrats don’t know when to give up. If the guy didn’t beat Walker in 2010 he has no chance in hell now. Walker’s balanced budget bill will cause a surplus of $300 million where there would be a deficit of $3.6 BILLION. The guy should be considered a hero for crimeny’s sake.

It will affect Obama because the unions will all realize they are seven months from death and will pull their support from Obama unless he agrees to do something drastic. Like, give them Card Check NOW! Either way will work to our benefit.

The libs wanted Obama to go to WI and campaign for Barrett and all they got was Debbie Wasserman-Schultz. DWS represents nothing more than a shaggy-haired middle finger from the regime.

BTW... can anyone imagine having to endure that woman 24/7? Imagine hearing in that nasal tone of hers, “Did you take out the garbage? Wipe your feet! I don’t want you going out with the guys... stay home with me!”

AND, more good news! Walker leads Barrett 52% to 45% in new Marquette Law School poll! See at this link!

Maybe some Wisconsin Freepers got to go and take pictures! If so, we Floridians would love to see them! We will be doing everything we can to make sure come November she no longer is a member of Congress from Florida!

Who knows, maybe there were some Wisconsin Freepers showed up to FREEP Debbie with some nice signs like:
“Socialists Are Not Welcome In Wisconsin”
“Go Home, Walker Is Our Man!”
“Debbie, You Best Go Home, Karen Is Gaining On You!”

FReep Mail me if you want on, or off, this Wisconsin interest ping list.

There will be no more pings after Friday, June 1, unless somebody takes this ping list for me for the following 10 days.
