Janesville - Gov. Scott Walker's administration says the job-growth numbers he made public earlier than normal have been verified by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.
Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development spokesman John Dipko told The Associated Press on Wednesday that the bureau has confirmed Wisconsin jobs grew by 23,608 in 2011.
Walker had released the preliminary job numbers two weeks ago before the bureau confirmed them, a highly unusual move.

Walker will win. The facts are so blantantly clear. On his momentum someone needs to introduce a bill to limit recalls to criminality or if the public will support it completely eliminate the recall. It’s a terrible idea.
Here are your "final numbers" you liberal jerks.
I’m still very concerned about fraud. Two judges threw out voter ID laws and early voting has been heavy w/ large vehicles with out of state plates disgorging who knows whom...or so I’ve heard, admittedly 3rd hand info. We are voting Tuesday and my mother has sent her absentee ballot in...she needs help due to her poor vision. As a good son I am more than happy to help.
You’re right about fraud. It is a fundamental element of Democrat politics, but if Walker loses the voters will not behave well. He’ll win by enough margin to make Milwaukee’s voter fraud count for naught. Perhaps we’ll even get some convictions out of the process.
Walker: Feds verify his job numbers; make Barrett look like a fool.
FReep Mail me if you want on, or off, this Wisconsin interest ping list.
At least at a polling place you need to produce a body. Absentee ballots are the larger source of fraud.
Can absentee ballots be contested?
If you mean challenged, yes. Sure.
Barrett of course won’t pull the BS ad.
