Senator Hatch promised the crowd of business leaders that if he were re-elected and became Chair of the Senate Finance Committee, he would be well-positioned to help take down the Affordable Care Act.
"If we take over in the majority, we're going to try and repeal Obamacare, and see if we can get it right," he said.
Hatch and Wyoming Senator John Barrasso said they were currently focused on repealing provisions of the law including a tax on the medical device industry and on health insurance providers. Democratic Utah state Senator Pat Jones is on the Salt Lake Chamber's Health Reform Task Force, and was the only one at the meeting who voiced criticism about repealing the Affordable Care Act.
"The question I had was how do you specifically plan to replace it? The only answer I heard was we'll give it to the states, and let's try to work together. I think those are squishy answers," said Jones.
A Supreme Court decision on provisions of the Affordable Care Act requiring an expansion of Medicaid and an individual mandate to buy insurance is expected in June.
“... and see if wee can get it right”??
seriously??
Just rename it?
Senator Orrin Hatch is counting on suckering his voters once again. He should be put out to pasture. He has thumbed his nose at those who elected him to office time and again and, true to form, feels that they will be dumb enough to fall for his sudden display of backbone. If he is re-elected, that will be proof positive that you CAN fool SOME of the people ALL of the time.
Getting it right is repealing it and going totally free market.
Unless you want to ban the states (Like Massachusetts) from enacting government run systems.
Did someone light an unquenchable bonfire under Hatch’s butt?
Oh this is a knee slapper, now that Hatch has the seal of approval from no less than Sarah Palin, he now feels 10 foot tall and bulletproof.
Hey, I’ll bet he’ll get lots of support from John McStain, after all Sarah opined that McStain was the “Tea Party candidate” and that she and Juan “shared the same vision for America”, that should have been a warning shot across the bow, but NOOOOOO!!
The problem is, the votes of Congress and the White House are bought by those who fund their Re-Elections, and The People pay the bills.....
I'm sure him seeing his old pal get the heave-hoe has him sweating bullets.
Every doctor I've talked to will not participate and those working in hospitals will
turn to house calls for cash. They can easily make over 1k per day doing cash calls
to customers in their homes. Easily.
Will the Gov then take their license away? How far and deep will this socialism take America?
In the Socialist paradigm of utopia everybody must be in compliance, or else. And History has shown the world what Or else means.
And when medicine is rationed due to cost will our border guards now keep us inside
our borders to prevent us from filling prescriptions in Mexico and Canada? What then
will they do to the elderly seeking desperately to fill the prescription that
may save their life ASAP that the Gov promises them in 6-months.
Good points

Get it right? Hatch, get lost!
FU you Plick.
You scrap that POS and leave it the way it was.
I have friends who are paying 2 and 3 times what they were paying for their insurance just 3 years ago.
No quit acting like you got all the answers and answer to us!
Get it right? These frickin' RINOs will never learn. We don't want you a**hats to "get it right", we want you to leave sh** alone after the repeal.
Why do they think people want it repealed, so another bunch of loser politicians can make an even worse bill to screw up our health care system?
NOBODY IS GOING TO REPEAL OBAMACARE UNLESS OBUMBO IS DEFEATED ALONG WITH THE MAJORITY RATS IN THE SENATE
