At a time when breastfeeding in public is already controversial, pictures of two military moms doing so while wearing their uniforms is sparking outrage.
The photo is part of a local breastfeeding awareness campaign by Mom2Mom of Fairchild Air Force Base, a support group launched in January by Crystal Scott, a military spouse and mother of three. Among the intimate close-ups of smiling young mothers cuddling their adorable babies, the images of the two airmen stand out.

My, how times have changed.
In 1954 while I was 15 and my sister 13, having been ‘farmed out’ to my Grandfather and Aunt/Uncle my mother, an RN for about 17 years tried to join the Air Force Nurse Corps and she was turned town because of me and my sister.
Also, she was a long time customer of All State Auto Ins and when she came up for renewal in 1957, they turned her down because I was 17 - and in the Navy, not living at home.
Said they didn’t insure folks with teen agers of driving age.
At least the one woman covered herself. A woman does not need to be fully exposed.
Thank you. There is nothing redeeming about these women breastfeeding in front of a camera and in uniform.
Funny post. Seen the picture else where but appropriate here.
Can’t wait till you can post a male soldier in female uniform. /sarc off
Is it wrong to assume this will be used by the Obama campaign is some way to further the “conservative War on Women” lie?
In the Bad Old Days, exhibitionists could simply be laughed at by their neighbors. Now, everyone can be a star on teh Interwebs and pretend their personal desire to show their breasts or genitals is social activism.
It is the most natural thing in the world- who looks at a breast-feeding mother and things they are seeing something wrong?
Old Ben begs to differ........
“I have so much respect for those who serve. Im also a nursing mother (counting down the days lol!). I dont think moms should serve. There. I wrote it. Its not PC and I dont care.”
The next thing you know, feminists will be fighting for the right of “military moms” to take their young-uns right into combat situations, too! Because, after all, “mom” comes first, not “country”!
Ah the old “your mother is so ugly she wears combat boots” slam makes a come back.
