John McCain: it’s time to arm Syria’s opposition
UK Daily Telegraph ^ | May 31, 2012 | Staff

"It's time to act. It's time to give the Syrian opposition the weapons in order to defend themselves. It's not a fair fight," Sen McCain told reporters in the Malaysian capital Kuala Lumpur. Sen McCain attacked Russia and China for opposing aggressive action on Syria, and President Barack Obama - who defeated him in the 2008 election - for not acting more forcefully on the issue. "It is shameful that the United Nations Security Council should again be hindered by Russia and China by their vetoes for any significant action against Syria," he said.

How about arming all of them, and let them kill each other for the next 100 years?

Sounds a lot like Menachem Begin's "solution" to the Iran-Iraq war. The only reason he bombed Osirak is because Saddam said any weapon obtained would only be used against the Zionist Entity and Iran had nothing to fear. Dork

“The Syrian opposition is the Muslim Brotherhood, AQ, and other mixed Islamic elements.”

Precisely. This is madness. Both sides are EVIL.

There is a country that needs saved and every effort should be made to save her.....THAT country is America.... the one that matters, the U.S. of A.

Until we can make our own damn country viable again, get rid of Obama and the corrupt bastards—republicans and democrats, we should shut up and mind our own business.

Without legitimate, honorable and intelligent leadership, we have no business in getting into another war that is not ours.

There may very well come a day when we must fight back attacks, but we could very well be financially unable to do so.

John McCain: it’s time to arm Syria’s opposition

The terrorists attacking Syria are the same that Syria helped to go into Iraq.

Yes, lets do to Syria what we did to Libya and Egypt. What a stupid man this is. They are better off with Assad than the Muslim Brotherhood.

The opposition in Syria is dominated by the Muslim Brotherhood and supported by Al Qaeda.
Article III, Section 3 of the US Constitution:
Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort. No Person shall be convicted of Treason unless on the Testimony of two Witnesses to the same overt Act, or on Confession in open Court.

The Congress shall have Power to declare the Punishment of Treason, but no Attainder of Treason shall work Corruption of Blood, or Forfeiture except during the Life of the Person attainted.

Just to be clear, I am accusing anyone supporting the Muslim Brotherhood and Al Qaeda in Lybia and Syria of being traitors. Past service to this country is irrelevant. General Benedict Arnold saved this nation at the Battle of Saratoga. He still commuted treason.

When one pack of anti-American mad dogs is fighting another pack of anti-American mad dogs our best action is to keep them at each other’s throats as long as possible with the highest possible casualties on each side.

I’ve been reading Allan Nevin’s history of the 1850s - these do-gooder meddlers remind me of the filibusters of that era, eager to make their writ run where they pleased, under the protection of the U.S.

Syria for the Syrians.

Because innocent human beings are being tortured & killed, and caring about that is part of what makes us who we are.

Then why haven't we invaded Detroit? Just as many muslims and just as much killing.

Hey McCain!

Remember the fears of all those Stinger missiles we sold the Afghani rebels to fight the Soviet Union way back when, and then the very real fears that US airmen would be facing those very same missiles?

I say let’s prolong the fighting. The more time they spend slaughtering each other, the less they’re going to spend on trying to slaughter Israelis, Jews, and Americans.

The question I answered was:
“Why do we give a rat’s patootie what the Syrians are doing to each other?”

It didn’t strike me as political and neither was my answer.

We can care all we want about the plight of Syrians, as long as we stay the hell out of it! No arms, no troops, no money, NOTHING.

If a situation in a foreign country, involving our national interest, requires a military response, let it be a nuclear response. In Japan it took two bombs, I don't think now days it would take more than one. Do this once or twice and after that, the “threat” alone would be enough.
