I seem to remember something about her possibly applying for a job at the Epiphany Catholic preschool. God forbid she might have been praying in the Church’s parking lot. I blame the staff of the preschool for not going outside to inquire, if they could be of assistance. Not call the police cause you think she is a suspicious person and they send an Irak PTSD nutjob with a badge. Mrs. Cook’s blood is on their hands!

On the other hand, Cowgirl, if someone parked in the lot of the day school for a while, and the staff did nothing, and the stranger then snatched a kid, everyone would be screaming about how bad the staff is for doing nothing, like calling the police earlier. Nothing wrong with calling the cops to check out a stranger in a school parking lot. The staff didn't expect a Rambo-type to come in with an attitude. It smells to me like a simple case of a ticking, time bomb who liked to wear a uniform of authority and strut around with a gun and his bad temper got the better of him.
