Convicted political fundraiser Antoin "Tony" Rezko has granted his first television interview since he went to prison for corruption.

"I was indicted, tried and convicted for a crime I did not commit," he told ABC7's Charles Thomas. "Here I am serving a 10 and a 1/2 year sentence that I believe I do not deserve."

Rezko was the wealthiest and most influential member of former governor Rod Blagojevich's inner circle.

As he sits in the federal penitentiary in downstate Pekin, Ill., four years after his conviction, Rezko still says he did not do it. At least not the 16 fraud, money laundering and bribery counts on which he was found guilty. But the political fundraiser admitted during the conversation that he and then-governor Rod Blagojevich did conspire to make illegal pay-to-play appointments to state boards and commissions.

"Did I do fundraising for board appointments? Yes I did. Did I participate in that? Sure I did. Was he [Blagojevich] aware of it? Yes, he was," he said.

Imagine a a self-respecting journalist reaction being told by a conservative that such-and-such will not be talked about in the interview.

That's all that would be talked about.. like birthers for example.

Then if the conservative walked off the interview a self-respecting journalist would be ecstatic and have headline story will legs.

Jesse Jackson's biological father, Noah Robinson was also a pro-boxer.
Michelle Robinson's ancestors come from the same area of SC that Jesse's relative did.
She spent enough time in the Jackson home to be call “Sis” by the siblings.
Noah Robinson, Jesse's half brother, was a member of the Black stone street gang who change their name to El Rukn when they converted under the influence of Ferret=Con.
(He is currently doing life in prison)
El Rukn (who specialized in murder-for-hire, drugs and male/female prostitution) claimed the same territory that a young Muslim male worked in as a Community Organizer.
