call your local comics shop and let them know you won’t allow your kids to buy dc comics anymore.
pedo friendly topics are not appropriate for children
tell the comics shop owner you’ll also suggest the parents in your kids school and church should do the same
don’t get into a conversation over it. you’re just making a statement and don’t need to be ‘educated’
this will make the shop owners very unhappy... and that message will reach dc
boycott dc comics
they were careful to quarantee this “pc” lantern into a seperate alternative universe which has no conection with regular continuity.
a disposable dimension.
Carol Ferris is still part of the movie continuity and an obscure (dead) lantern will not be allowed to infect their bottom line.
BTW notice how they are claiming yet another dead.
also tell the head of warner communications.
remember the next batman comes out.
also they had superman renounce his us citizenship. (must have been a tax thing)
He’s changing his name too. From now on he’ll be The Citrine Lovelight...
He’s gay, too.
this character is also quaranteened on an alternate dimension version and is not part of the regular continuity.
IOW not part of the Green lantern corps or alters, aparently, the golden age alan scott of the regular earth continuity.
this does make it physically impossible for any children of alan scott to exist in the alternatate pink lantern version.
That comic book should be behind the counter with other sexually explicit material.
Lavender Lantern?
the Brown Starlight?
the Woody Glow?
the Silly Juice Recruiter (see michael jackson)
will his new oath simply be “Hi thalor!”
Next up: Wonder Woman was a stripper, and the Flash is on speed.
Is the GL from Canada? Interpol is looking for him.
They got no guts. They just want to preen morally over us straight, white Christian guys.
And the comic book industry jumps the shark.
makes you wonder how advertisers feel about such a negative affiliation with their products.
advertising has consequences. it is not zero up. advertising can COST sales.
what company/shareholder in their right mind is going to want to be associated with killing off a golden age character?
I’ve never watched the Big Bang Theory but I’ve always thought that character was gay....
You ask a good question for which I have no good answer. The elite don’t think like regular people
That’s completely pointless. Comic shops make almost all of their comic book revenue through in-store subscriptions. If their regular customers were to do as you suggest, they might listen. But non-subscribers calling? They’ll laugh as they hang up the phone. This is a world that is so insular that you have no idea.
you’re right. best to do nothing. no one cares anyhow. go back to sleep
of course, you’re 100% wrong
comic shops don’t have a high margin and are usually running very tight. having parents inform them that they will not be buying any products from one of the major brands hurts. then to hear that other parents will be told to avoid the pedo friendly brand name... yea, the shop owner is going to get very nervous
of course, if you’re a 30 year old male with comic subscription... that’s a whole other problem and probably to far gone to be saved

Whether that 30 year old is to far gone or not, isn't important. Like it or not, his is the only demographic left that's still buying comics. Definitely a his, as well. Females at one time accounted for 20+ percent of sales. Today, 2%. He's not only male, but he's not young. The average age of comic book reader is now close to 40.
Look, I'm not trying to flame you, just inform you. The comic market isn't what you remember. In 1993 there were 9,000 comic book stores. Today, just over 2,000. It's become a niche market selling smaller, but ever more expensive comics to an ever aging demographic.
If it weren't for video games, television and movies, the under 30 crowd wouldn't be able to name a superhero. Most have never bought a comic book.
