Earth's carbon dioxide levels hit 'troubling milestone' in Arctic

WASHINGTON -- The world's air has reached what scientists call a troubling new milestone for carbon dioxide, the main global warming pollutant.

Monitoring stations across the Arctic this spring are measuring more than 400 parts per million of the heat-trapping gas in the atmosphere.

Carbon dioxide is the chief greenhouse gas and stays in the atmosphere for 100 years. Some carbon dioxide is natural, mainly from decomposing dead plants and animals. Before the Industrial Age, levels were about 275 ppm.

“CO2 averages 3.5%”... of what? 400 PPM is 0.04% of atmospheric gases, listing it below argon. The standard measure of CO2 is in Hawaii and that is 0.038%, which to me is no real difference. Both numbers may be higher than a few hundred years ago by 0.01% but that doesn’t seem significant to me.

The earth has had periods in past millenia when the CO2% was an order of magnitude higher. If this came down, how did that happen? The global warming models all are based on a runaway green house effect with CO2 causing water vapor to increase.

Is your 3.5% number the percentage of green house gases in the atmosphere? If so I don’t know what if I agree but it sounds possible.

I'm sure many here have a similar sentiment to this. I can only hope that if Mr. Romney is elected for POTUS that he will receive a rather enormous and generous portion of up to date facts on the whole global warming scam and see where he can with at least the HR side with a majority, make it so difficult for the UN, European and other banking institutions and other big key players, within industry who saw years back with salivating eyes, milk the world's working classes of potential trillions of dollars over a given set of years. As well of course the whole scams evil underlining principles of ruling over the world's population. Willard claims he loves American and the American way (I assume within it's democratic republic's guidelines) and all law abiding American citizens.
If so he would be beholden to take it to this whole scam and all the players. No more money. And take steps to make sure people like Hansen are retired from NASA, the EPA is totally revamped, etc.. The lists are long as your painfully aware.
Just a few days back while parts of the mid section of the country and the east where experiencing a few days of hot weather above the norm, it appears the L/MSM seemed to forget to mention or ignore parts of say Montana where getting quite a bit of snow. And further. As we understand via. the many good science posts, there are those scientist, who are well known and reputable within the establishment, that indicate one could double the levels of CO2 world wide and we would not see any additional potential to transfer IR rebounding from the earth's surface upward, into the given levels of the atmosphere. It is all bull shit plus.
I'll leave it go at that. At this point, most all Freepers should be pretty well informed on at least a non technical level of the global warming hoax. Thanks to you and others that keeped the posts flowing in over the past few years.

I don't disagree with that but what I wrote was that CO2 was about 25% of the “Greenhouse Gases” not the total atmosphere.

The AGW yokels would like to ignore water vapor as a “green house gas”, but the simple fact is that water vapor IS, as it has all of the characteristics and effects assigned to “green house gas”.

The factors contributing to the variability of levels of water vapor in the atmosphere are so vast as to make them impossible to model, and therefore, predict.

CO2 was “selected” as a scape goat, to be used as a cudgel on behalf of the population control, anti-industrial, anti-western culture, crowd.

CO2 is the poor cousin of freon, following the failure of that ban to produce anything meaningful.
Of course the ozone cycle is a natural, self-healing process, so those frauds are declaring victory in that hoax.
