OKLAHOMA CITY The Thunder say Lil Wayne is welcome to attend a playoff game in Oklahoma City, but needs to buy a ticket just like everyone else.
The rapper created a stir Thursday night by posting on Twitter that he was going to go to the Thunder game tonight but was denied by the team to be in their arena.
Thunder spokesman Dan Mahoney says Lil Waynes representatives did contact the team requesting tickets but insisted that he sit on the front row, and none of those seats was available. Oklahoma City sold out every home game during the regular season and playoffs this season.
Mahoney says: Wed love to have him at a game, but like anyone else, he needs a ticket.

That movie was actually spot-on social social commentary.
Nice tat between the eyes. Manson’s is better.
What are his teeth made of, is that diamond?
No class d-bag
Based on this story it’s highly unlikely that Lil Wayne will ever win the lottery either.
“If Obama had a son ...”
Ha, ha....good one!
The fact that a goon like that can become rich and famous shows how rotten our culture and particularly rotten black culture has become. This person is the perfect embodiment of the generation that swept Obama into office.
Wasn't he "Upgrayedd"?
Short memory. When you had me to your place for the cookout over Memorial Day, the guy who kept complaining that you didn't provide any tofu and weasel bratwurst or any cold Olde Frothingsloth, threw a fit, and left? That was Lil Wayne.
Lil is in reference to his intellect, not his ego.
Wow, what an ugly looking man.
We’re talking about a guy who’s had every one of his albums go at least gold. At least. It looks like he’s got four platinum albums, two multiple-platinum.
What I’m trying to say is...buy your own ticket, you cheap bastard.
I wonder how many new downloads this controversy he started has earned him.
It was Whitey, not the Thunder who didn't want him there. Speakieth lil Wayne:
-Lil Wayne claimed in a tweet Thursday night that he had been "denied by the team to be in their arena." The team responded by saying the seats he wanted were already taken.
-"That's not the point, though," he told The Associated Press in an interview Friday night. "It's the players stepping up but of course the players aren't white. I don't want to be sitting there on behalf of you and I'm sitting next to a (person) that's like `I don't want this (guy) sitting next to me.' (Forget) you ... I'm in Forbes," he said, laughing.
-He said he typically procures tickets for such games "from this guy named Mike." Lil Wayne said Mike had requested special security, parking and entrance for the rapper, but Mike said the team responded that they would only sell the seats for Mike's personal use.
