The House passed a budget. The money has been spent under continuing resolutions because the Democrat Senate won’t vote on the House passed budget.

Our problem is not the democrats or the republicans.
Our problem is not Obama, or Pelosi, or Reid.
Our problem is our fellow citizens.

Does anyone have any common sense or thought any longer?

The GOP House has passed several budgets only to have them ALL stopped by Harry the pig Reid and his demoncrat led Senate. So, they run the country by passing continuing resolutions. By law, they have to pass budgets, only the demoncrats get by it by the continuing resolution process.

It has been about three years since the demoncrats have actually let a budget come to a vote.

Boner, Cantor and McCarthy need to all go! They are part of the problem, not the solution, especially Boner, He’s a complete disgrace and a failure.

Democrats say they will raise taxes and eliminate choices in health care, education, guns and general economic freedom, and they DO, while Republicans say they will reduce taxes, shrink government, cut spending, simplify the tax code and reduce regulations but they DON’T.

The House passed a budget that would help bring down the deficit; without action by the Senate, the House is left with two choices:

a) pass a continuing resolution

b) let the government shutdown.

The latter option sound nice, but the blame for whatever problems result from a government shutdown are assessed by the media as follows:

i) if it’s a Republican President, any government shutdown fiasco is the fault of the President

ii) if it’s a Republican legislature, any government shutdown fiasco is the fault of the legislature.

A government shutdown threat is a game of chicken, and the media will tilt the playing field so that Obama looks like the savior and the House GOP looks like Scrooge.

Like it or not, the best strategy is push on to November, keep the House, take the Senate, dump Obama, and put grownups in charge.

Like Romney, McConnell and Boehner?

Please....

If the Pubs are going to wait around till they control things.. lets look at Bush... Ya... That worked well.. Seems they had control of everything. Did anything happen? well... no. Lower taxes yes.. Lower spending? No.

I’ve given up on both parties. They are blending in to one. I will support those that have EARNED my support. The rest. They are the problem.

It has been about three years since the demoncrats have actually let a budget come to a vote.

There was no budget for FY 2010.

Nor were there budgets for FY 2011 and FY 2012.

Nor will there be a budget for FY 2013 (which starts this October).

As a consequence, the last budget baseline was the FY 2009 budget -- which included Porkulus. The government's baseline budgeting has given us a prescribed spending level with another Porkulus built in, plus specified annual increases, ever since.

Can anybody doubt that this is exactly how the Democrats planned to "manage" spending from the git-go.

So suddenly the House takes on the full blame for the debt limit increase? Yeah, the Boehner cave-in was ultimately responsible but the House held out as long as it could. Absolving Obama and the Reid-controlled Senate from responsibility is ludicrous.

Or is this a mind trick to goad the House into standing fast this time so the RATs can play the gubermint shutdown card for election time?

Well, if we had Clay, Calhoun, and Webster to fall back on, it’d be an easy choice.

But I’d put my kid’s 6th grade infield in place of Pelosi, Reed, Fortney Pete Stark, Chuckie Shumer, Sheila Jackson Lee and the rest of that donkey freak show any day of the week.

Look, b*tch about McConnell and Boehner all you want - there’s plenty there to complain about - but the last GOP budget (the one that was in effect the first year the Dem’s took over the legislature) had a deficit of about $150 billion. As soon as the Pelosi/Reed budgets began to kick in, we began the road to hell we’re on now.

I don’t have any delusions of any instant perfection if the GOP wins it all in November. All I know is it won’t be Pelosi/Reed/Obama - and I’m not going to let those jackwads back in power if there’s any way to around them.

The baseline budget demands this spending unless they can override it in a budget that can pass both houses and survive a veto.

and who in the current GOPe leadership is going to turn the USS Titanic around before it hits the iceberg? How bout in the potential GOP leadership after the election?

Honestly, not a one of them. Obama has the throttle wide open, at best, the republicans will pull it back a click.

we’re screwed.

Exactly. They do not have to follow guidelines, I.E. a budget. So, when they want to, they can add in all the pork or bribes and payoffs, like the solar energy failures, they want.

Its actually a free for all. And there are many ignorant idiots in this country who have swallowed it hook line and sinker. The taxpayers get to pay for all this thievery.

If we had Shut it Down in this last debt ceiling fight, we would be much better off. The Republicans who didn’t have the spine to make the tough decisions when they had the opportunity to, will be sitting in the same seats next year. They will continue to spend.

Nobody is talking about balancing the budget anytime soon. Why? All the talk about is some percentage of the GDP to be allowed as deficits. Hoocuspocus.

Prepare.

so be sure and vote dim ....IF only the house were involved then it would be one thing. Until we have true conservatives in both chambers there will be struggles. The truth is it would be worse under Pelosi and crew. IF you can;t see that then you can’t see anything
