Poll: Obama-Romney race tied; Obama supporters appear more energized
CNN ^ | June 3, 2012 | Paul Steinhauser

According to the poll, 49% of registered voters say that if the November election were held today, they would vote for Obama, while 46% say they would cast a ballot for Romney, the unofficial GOP presidential nominee. The president's three point margin is within the survey's sampling error. Obama had a nine point advantage in CNN's last national poll, which was conducted in early April.

"Which candidate better understands how the economy works? That's a tie as well - 45% pick Obama, 45% choose Romney," says CNN Polling Director Keating Holland.

Although the race for the White House is essentially tied, Obama does have one big advantage: His supporters right now are far more enthusiastic about him. More than six in ten Obama voters say they strongly support the president, while only 47% of Romney voters feel that way about their candidate.

In the battle for crucial independent voters, the poll indicates Romney holds a 51%-39% advantage.

The poll was of registered voters. The big questions is who will actually get out and vote.

The large advantage Romney holds among independent voters is significant.

Registered, likely, or just residents, it all depends on the results the Gaybama Media wants to emphasize.

I'm just shaking my head in complete disbelief. Obama shouldn't earn 10% of the vote based on his economic record and "understanding" of basic economics.

Well that is rather disturbing.

So, CNN, whose own viewship has declined massively like Wisconsin’s Public Union Membership, has decided to double down on the lies and obfuscation.

If the Founders were alive today and could see the impact that the mutation of their then Free Press has become, we might have a different Bill of Rights - one that specifically empowers the right to rebel.

CNN and Obama—Obama and CNN. Can you tell the difference? They both LIE.

An incumbent president, who hasn't polled above 50% for months and is tied with his opponent; and all CNN can report is his supporters are more "energized' (whatever that means).

Utterly hilarious.

Obama’s voters are more “energized”? Is that because they will be rising from the grave to vote? Who else could be that clueless?

CNN is trying to create some energy; that’s the truth of it.

“Obama supporters” and “energized” should never be used in the same sentence. Those people get through a day faster than anyone I know. They get up at noon and are done for the day at one.

Understand that CNN isn’t a real, objective news organization anymore, they’re now the media arm of the Democratic Party - they always praise Democrats, and always demonize Republicans and Conservatives. They’re totally in the tank for Obama.

So if CNN says the race is tied, then Mitt Romney is actually up 5-15%.

Tied? Conservatives outnumber liberals two to one.

How come it's tied when for years news items like this Jan 12, 2012 article have reported "Conservatives continue to make up the largest segment of political views in the country, outnumbering liberals nearly two-to-one, according to a new [Gallup] poll . . . ." The reported figures are in the range of 40 percent conservative; 35 percent consider themselves moderate; and 21 percent see themselves as liberal.

Ans (IMO): The majority of Americans are apolitical who do honestly consider their views conservative or moderate but are ignorant enough to be heavily influenced by "nonpartisan" Obama media (news, entertainment, general interest, whatever).

"Which candidate better understands how the economy works? That's a tie as well - 45% pick Obama, 45% choose Romney."

Let's examine a few numbers...

The Heritage Foundation publishes another set of important numbers, their annual "Index of Economic Freedom." In 2010, under Obama, the US dropped out of "economically free" status. The reasons for this are notable decreases in financial freedom, monetary freedom, and property rights. The U.S. scores particularly badly in areas where the government has taken too large and intrusive a role. His economic "leadership" is not a pretty picture:

It's the PC race card. You can't call a black man stupid or lazy regardless of what his record indictates.

“In the battle for crucial independent voters, the poll indicates Romney holds a 51%-39% advantage.”

This CNN poll is a sham. There is NO way that Romney could have a 12 point advantage with Independents and be virtually tied with Obama.

Sounds about right. 45% ride in the wagon while 45% pull the wagon.
