By this statement, can I reasonably assume that Mr. Krugman will gladly give $1-billion from his personal funds to every person who approaches him and asks?

Meanwhile these same Marxists insist that if you make over $100,000 you are too rich.

We’re talking as if a Nobel Prize in Economics was worth something.

I saw that today. Unbelievable. Followed by an ad from the Obama campaign bragging about how his policies had saved a few billion because of a policy change.

A billion here, a billion there...

It's not that much money as long as it's somebody elses money.

Old man that I am, If I met this man personally, I’d throttle his coddled, intellectual, liberal-biased ass to the ground. Nothing more than a pair of old fists needed here.

One billion dollars in $100 dollar bills.

One trillion dollars in $100 dollar bills. Note the double stacked pallets.

Remember: A billion is one thousand million! So if I split a billion dollars amongst 1,000 people, they’d all be millionaires.

Krugman is right ....in a way

A billion dollars is a rounding error to the mammoth federal government....

...and there lays the problem....

Sure he will.

I would hazard a guess that if they gave any of the regular posters here on FR a billion dollars any one of us could do a better job of stimulating the economy than hussein and his cohorts have done with trillions of dollars.

A recent article said that the jobs created by 0bama’s Stimulus cost $4.1 million dollars each. Is there anyone who couldn’t start a business and employ at least three people with that kind of start up capital? Even if you knew nothing about business and had no ideas at all you could start by hiring a business consultant. That’s one job before you even open your doors!

I’ve heard the new WTC building is supposed to be 1,776 feet high (including tower, of course), the tallest building in the US. Place that on top of a 20 story building. Now stack $100 bills from the floor to the top of the tower. That’s a billion dollars.

That doesn’t sound as convenient as having it palletized.
