I believe our forefathers fought a war so that I wouldn’t have to congratulate the queen on her diamond jubilee.

I was “over there” in ‘77 and there was a big “to do” then for her 25th. Incorporated with the Padstow festival, fish and chips and Hicks Special Draught, it was a great time.

Well, the Queen was gracious enough to visit the United States during our nation’s bicentennial, and wishing her well does not mean we want to revert to monarchical rule.

All the MSM networks are planning the whole of next week to babble and carry on about the anniversary. Nothing is more important than a week on the subject. It is really hard to believe that the MSM Pimps and Prostitutes for the Food Stamp President’s re-election actually get paid those gigantic salaries for little more than shilling and distraction.

The British fascination with dictatorship is mysterious..
They take pride in Mob Rule whether by Royalty or Democracy..
BOTH are Mob rule.. just different Mobs.. and mobsters..

America has pretty much been brain washed to think democracy is NOT A FILTHY THING..
Almost ..holy.. democracy has become..

Democracy Was, Is, and will Remain... Mob Rule by mobsters..
Democrats are delusional.. and not all republicans are republicans..

Considering the Dictator we have now, given an either/or proposition, I’ll take the Queen. But then again, no one is forcing anyone to wish her well.

I mean, she stands for something positive. Can’t wish that well in today’s world, can we.

“Big Ben” has been re-named “Elizabeth Tower.”

Yes, and I’m sick of it already. The only thing faintly satisfying is that BHO must despise it since he hates the British just as he does America, viewing us all as colonial imperialists.

Most of the founders were not rabid haters of the crown, certainly not to the extent where decedents 230 years into the future should pretend like they have a legitimate beef with the present queen and wish her ill.

Suspect you are aware, but, the name 'Big Ben' refers to the Bell that chimes on the hour.
The Tower in which it resides has always been just 'The Clock tower'.
Nice for it to now have a name.

Dear Queen:

I'm sorry that you had to tolerate our Royal Idiots when they broke with protocol and touched you on your imperial butt ... and humiliated you by interrupting a toast to you, the sovereign, with a pitiful campaign speech ... and in exchange for your priceless gifts, sent you CD of songs that wouldn't play on British CD players ... and moved a bust of Winston Churchill out of the White House ... and called on you in attire that you wouldn't consider respectful even if worn by ignorant savages on the African savanna ... but look at it this way ... how would you like to put up with the Hee Haw's every day ... and a fawning main stream media who constantly kiss their arses ... and pay for the their regal expenses ... and worse of all, live with their stupid mistakes!

Signed,

/Zak

P.S. I also understand why you didn't invite the Big Boob and Moo Shell to the Royal Wedding.

Congratulate Queen Elizabeth II on her Diamond Jubilee

If the British people elect to keep the monarchy, that's their business and I'm happy for their opportunity to celebrate. But I can't see congratulating a woman for 60 years of doing nothing but living lavishly on other peoples money.

There are two towers attached to the Parliament Building, which is collectively known as St. James Palace - the Clock Tower on one end with Big Ben and the Westminster Chimes. At the other end is the King's Tower, which is the Sovereign's Entry. The King's Tower was renamed Victoria Tower for Queen Victoria's Jubilee, so now they are renaming the Clock Tower to the Elizabeth Tower for her Jubilee.

London Historian's Blog - Victoria Tower has more details.

“Big Ben” has been re-named “Elizabeth Tower.”

An understandable error, since the BBC also got it wrong.

The tower was called just the Clock Tower, so never had its own name. "Big Ben" is the name of the largest bell inside the tower, so named after Benjamin Caunt, a famous heavyweight boxer of the 1850s.

So the old name will not be lost.

Why?
This is the woman who gave Rhodesia to the communists. Having the authority to veto any legislation she wishes, the Battenberg occupant, has seen fit to allow Britain to join the EUSSR and be over-run by Muslim immigrants.
