Last week, the blog China Defense posted two photos, nearly identical, with only one line of text: Just in case you might get confused, only one bird below is the J-20.
The J-20 stealth fighter is the creation of the Chengdu Aircraft Industry Group for the Peoples Liberation Army in China. About a year and a half ago, the Peoples Liberation Army conducted its first tests of the aircraft, which is expected to be fully operational sometime between 2017 and 2019.

That's what they used to say about Japan. What did happen to our electronics industry, anyway? :)
I don’t think I ever heard that about Japan. Our electronics industry fled overseas with our manufacturing base. D’oh!
The difference is that things made in Japan are made extremely well, whereas things made in China....well, they suck. I actually own a ton of consumer electronics (home theater buff), and I can’t remember the last time I had anything that was made in Japan, fail. I have a Rotel amp and tuner in my office that were both made in 1978 and they function flawlessly.
