Now Facebook WILL allow under-13s access in bid to boost revenue

Facebook is for the first time planning to let under 13s sign up despite parental and privacy concerns. The social network wants to introduce controls for parents so youngsters can log on when they are old enough to work a mouse. One option being considered is a filter which allows mums and dads to decide who their children can 'friend' and which applications they can use.

My 3 year old grandson can already work a mouse, iPhone and iPad to play a game he calls “Angy-birrs.” Different birds are shot from a slingshot to try and knock down ?pigs? hidden inside obstacles.

That’s what my 12-year-old niece did. So every time she logs in, she affirms that she is a liar.

My dog has her own facebook page - and she has 23 animal friends - each with their own facebook page.
