Savage is wrong about the Tea Party. They’re out there... driving home from work, picking up kids from soccer practice etc.

For those interested in the Sandlers and how they fit into the bigger picture, go to the wikipedia page on Wachovia, and scroll down to the part about the Golden West/World Savings Bank aquisition.

Ukulele in tow, though out of tune.
To: SpaceBar
Yeah, he doesn’t think the Tea party is much use. The problem is as you stated. Conservatives work, earn, produce. We have no time to be demonstrating all day.

Uke...
memories.
I had to play one in 7th grade in the late 50s.
All I can remember from it is — My Dog Has Fleas. That was the ‘tuner’ for the Ukes.

His plucking while a caller is talking is irritating.

Arthur Godfrey's ukulele better than Tiny Tim! Sounds like Howdy Doody.

Does anybody else here think that every once in a while Savage drops little hints that he is planning to give up the show in the not too distant future ?

When Savage gets angry with his staff I bet he could do this what Godfrey did to one on his staff.. “Godfrey fired singer Julius La Rosa on the air, announcing, “that was Julie’s swan song with us.”

As he talks about illegals, I suggest he fight fire with fire and take up mariachi guitar!
To: sushiman
I thought he might retire after the 2010 elections. He is sounding pretty good tonite. No allergies, no benedryl.

High school.. the way it was
Our high school coach punched out some students. They played a trick on him without looking to see that it was not another student.
The principal in high school tried twice to push me down the steps as he was escorting me to his office.. I dared him to try one more time. He settled down and we had a pleasant talk in his office. This was in the mid-1950s.
What did I do "wrong?" I'd come in from baseball practice to serve detention after school and he saw me remove my uniform shirt and soaking wet sweatshirt. Then I put the uniform shirt back on to enter the room for detention.. that's when he lost his temper.

At least your principal didn’t ask you to shower with him to remove the sweat. (Sandusky’s back in the news.)
To: QuestingElf
He was a hell of teacher though when he had to fill in. He worked extra long hours and was the superintendent of schools as well as principal of the high school.
I recall his habit of looking in on classes and if he saw someone misbehaving he'd enter and grab the kid and rough him up a bit.
I'd rather have that threat than threats from today's gangs, nutcases, and just plain spoiled brats.
