Ecstatic crowds cheered the Queen's carriage procession through the streets of London today as British pomp and pageantry went on full display.
The Queen was joined in her 1902 State Landau by the Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall, as the Duke of Edinburgh is being treated in hospital for a bladder infection. Philip is said to be 'disappointed' at missing the festivities marking the end of the extended Diamond Jubilee Bank Holiday.

Looks like Phillip there in the photo second from the bottom.
It’s him. He was their for the flotilla.
Yippie.
Prince William needs to step out of the way.
What a big smile she had for the fly over.
Thank you for the ping! My roots are in your country.
Wonderful pictures!
I find it interesting that the Queen and her court can ride in open carriages before thousands of people and our President has to clear all people out, including veterans, from a War Memorial for our people so he could do a photo op.

Thanks! Excellent pictures.
Saw some of the coverage on Fox News. I did not see one person of color in the throng of Brits outside the Palace.
Lovely pictures! I’ve been reading all about it whenever I can. My grandmother was from Scotland (she came to the US when she was 15) and very proud of her roots! If she were alive to see this, she would be so thrilled. This is a very historic event and certainly not something I’ll see again in my lifetime.
heh! I’m over here and on the BBC coverage they were careful to pick out exactly two of our melanin enhanced couples for show.
More curiously, I didn’t see a single one of the millions of followers of the religion of peace(es) I’m told are eternally grateful for the “throw open the palace door” immigration policies of the last labour government.
Not a hijab, burqua, or bearded bedsheet wearer in sight - although I saw more than I could count last time I was in Bedford.
Its almost like they got the dates wrong on the posters they put up in all the mosques. Yeah, that must be it..
These Elizabeths last a long time.
Thanks for the pictures! I guess I am a bit of a royalist. The idea of hereditary aristocracy doesn’t make any more sense to me than it did to Thomas Jefferson, but it seems to me most people have an inbuilt need to look up to (and gossip about) people who are rich, well dressed, and famous. In that sense, every country has royalty.
It then merely becomes a decision between Prince Harry and Prince Sheen, or Princess Kate and Princess Spears.
As long as our lot still feel the need to at least make a good show of patriotism, civic responsibility, military service, religion etc I’ll support ‘em.
Guns are rare over there thanks to their lack of a Second Amendment.
I have relatives in Nottingham and have been to see them several times. My grandfather came from England at age 18 and joined the coast guard. Thanks for the pictures.
Love Wills and Kate!
