My synopsis of the Luntz focus group last night:
There were two very outspoken women speaking out against Walker and then Hannity asked for union members in the focus group to raise their hands. Maybe about 1/3 were union members and NOT ALL of them were against Walker. Both of the outspoken women raised their hands and one of them was a union boss. She kept saying that Walker did not want to come to the negotiation table. I say “ELECTIONS HAVE CONSEQUENCES”. As Rush said, the two outspoken women were UNREACHABLE because the dissolution of the Union is a loss of THEIR way of life.

What Happened on My Way to Vote Today

It won’t surprise any poster here, I’ll do my best to relate what I saw today. Perhaps, I’ve witnessed how the Wisconsin/Illinois democrat machine steals, or attempts to steal elections at the grassroot level.
My polling place was busier than I’ve ever seen it. There was actually a 25 minute wait.
A charter bus was drawn up to the curb, 20 yards away. It was busy re-capturing it’s antique clientele. Perhaps forty nursing home residents were being helped back aboard the bus by a impatient crew of men 8 strong.
Since, I was waiting in a long line anyway, I knew I could come back later and vote. My curiousity was certainly peaked by the behavior of these guys who are clearly non-medical personnel helping these old folks vote. Were they on the level, just doing their civic duty by escorting the elderly to the polls? Who were these burly guys busy getting out the vote anyway? I had just enough time to get back to my car and pull in behind the charter bus as it left.
They wound around several one way streets without getting lost downtown. I can’t normally get around town without making at least one driving mistake. Whoever was driving this bus knew exactly where he was going.
Imagine my surprise when the bus failed to return to a nursing home, or a hospital? Soon, campaign signs appeared all around us, we had found another polling place. As the bus pulled up, it was in front of the polling place, a city policeman motioned for it to a stop directly opposite the front door of the polling place. I should have realized what was going on immediately, but I was totally unprepared for what happened next. Maybe some of these voters lived in a different precinct? Maybe they haven’t voted yet?
The same group of guys helped ‘the same passengers’ get out of the bus and into the polling place. I knew at least two of these people had already voted! It was obvious that their escorts knew they had already voted once before. I started taking pictures with my phone.
I decided to blend in acting like the other voters in line and listening in on whatever these elderly voters and their handlers were talking about.
The escorts could be overheard talking, vote for Barrett, vote for recall. Over and over, vote for Barrett, vote for recall!
Q-Where’s the bathroom, help me up so I can get in there! This elderly woman was in a wheelchair asking the exact same question over and over again.
A-Jane, you have a catheter. How many times do I have to tell you. You, you stupid bitch have a catheter!
Q-No, I’ve got to go number two, number two!
A-You have a diaper Jane. Hurry up and vote already! Then we’ll take you a place with a nice big bathroom. This place got no bathroom.
Another middle aged patient with the appearance of Down’s Syndrome said;
Q-When will we get ice cream? When, I want my ice cream now!
A-If I hear anymore about ice cream!
A grizzled amputee in a wheelchair spoke up next;
Q-I just want one of your cigarettes. Where are our free cigarettes? You promised all of us smokes. Ray and Julie don’t smoke, I want their cigarettes too!
A-Do as your told, we’ll all get some f-—ing ice cream! We’ll all smoke cigarettes later. Now shut up and do like we practiced.
One of the men doing most of the talking suddenly walked over to me angry and suspicious. He was glowering at me, I could see his face turn beet red.
Q-”What are you looking at Pal? I know you, don’t I? Have you ever been in jail? I arrested you for drugs, didn’t I? I’ve definitely seen you before right? You’re a convict, out on parole; right? Out on parole! Look here guys, this MF’er won’t mind his business! Doesn’t he look familiar?
Two more men walked over, one guy was directly behind me. I realized too late they were surrounding me. I backed up out of the voting line and placed my back up against the wall. They kept talking about me being a criminal. I looked over at the people in line to vote, they were averting their gaze and pretending not to hear, or become involved in anyway.
—”Unless you want to go back into prison, you better get your dumb ass out of here Boy! Give me that phone! Shit, I’m sorry it just got broke, my bad. I’m really sorry, give me your name and address, I’ll have your phone fixed and mail it back to you! Are you cooperating with us, or not?
—Get out of here Buddy!
—You can imagine, feet don’t fail me now!
I got out of there fast. As I ran, I saw one of the gang follow me back toward my car. He was there to write down my license plate number. He didn’t care if I saw him writing it down either. So, I quickly turned away and jogged into the park with him following a hundred yards behind.
I’m not going back to work, or home until I’ve got some help getting my car back!
