Sixty percent of Wisconsin voters in today's recall election say recall elections are only appropriate for official misconduct, according to early CBS News exit polls. Twenty-eight percent said they think they are suitable for any reason, while nine percent think they are never appropriate.
Today's recall election in Wisconsin pits Republican Gov. Scott Walker versus Democratic Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett, in a rematch of their 2010 race. According to the early exit polls, 6 percent say they decided on their candidate in the last few days, with 93 percent saying they made up their minds before that.
The recall effort was brought about mainly in response to Walker's plan that restricted collective bargaining rights for public union workers. Today, 52 percent of Wisconsin voters in the early exit polls said they have a favorable view of unions for government workers, while 43 percent have an unfavorable opinion of these unions. Among voters in unions households (public or not), 69 percent view these unions favorably.
On the issue of collective bargaining, 50 percent of Wisconsin voters say they approved of the recent changes to state law that limits collective bargaining for government workers, but 48 percent disapproved of these changes.

My take on the poll data FWIW:
THESE DAYS, unions are for malingerers who require job protection.
Ya, that’s the ticket! The Dems/Unions/Left only lost because the typical Wisconsonite was offended a legal distinction in the voter laws.
No predictions on my part other than I believe that Vote Fraud will be over the top tonight. And maybe...Just maybe that will be enough incentive to crack down on it Nationwide. If only to the point of the purple fingers to keep the cheats from voting more than once.
Friend from Wisconsin wrote to say she has never stood in such long lines for any election. Epic.
An elected official who does anything to jeopardize the ongoing flow of money into union coffers is guilty of official misconduct by definition.
the Walker supporters enthusiastically endorsed the same idea when Luntz ran that by the ‘town hall’ crowd on PhoneJob last night. The union goons just cringed.

CNN reporting that recall is 50%-50%, too close to call in WIn — based on exit polls.
BS to CNN! Walker will win by 5-10 pts.
I would proudly support the “purple finger” idea. Of course, it would take a strong formula that was impossible to wash off within 24 hours or so, but I think that is doable.
Naturally, the Democrats would totally freak if it was tried. They view voter fraud as a natural right.
I hope the GOP has another clever plan like last time.
Early results, CNN
1%
Walker 58%
Barrett 41%
That's why they love "early voting".
With early voting, someone can vote over and over and over and over without losing out on siesta or midnight basketball.
Is there a limit to how many times a recall in Wisconsin can be used against an official?
Anyone still think Fox is friendly to conservatives?
Yes, once per term, and not before having served one year. They can't recall Walker again now until 2016, after he wins reelection in 2014 and takes office in 2015.
12% in and Walker up by 61 to 39.
The fact that voters strongly oppose recall elections unless for malfeasance in office indicates the Democrats are going to get their head handed to them on a plate tonight.
Yippee!!!!!
ITS PAYBACK TIME!!!!!
THIS IS A MANDATE
the public unions must be punished!
