The actress, who allegedly refused to take a Breathalyzer or drug test at the scene of her accident, tweets, I dont drink.
Amanda Bynes is sticking to her story, even if a judge doesnt buy it.
The actress was charged on Tuesday with driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs in relation to her April 6 arrest, in which she was accused of sideswiping a police car while attempting to make a right hand turn. The arrest occurred at 3 a.m. in West Hollywood and Bynes allegedly refused to take a Breathalyzer or drug test at the scene of the accident.
Immediately following her hearing, Bynes took to Twitter to enlist the help of who else, but the president of the United States.
I dont drink, the 26-year-old wrote in a tweet addressed to @BarackObama. Please fire the cop who arrested me. I also dont hit and run. The end.
The April 6 incident is one of many driving-related woes the starlet has faced as of late. In recent weeks, Bynes has been spotted backing over a curb while texting, holding up traffic while attempting a three-pointed U-turn and sideswiping another vehicle.
Bynes is scheduled to appear in front of Beverly Hills Superior Court Judge Elden Fox, who presided over most of Lindsay Lohans highly publicized DUI case.
The actress rose to fame on the Nickelodeon shows All That and The Amanda Show. She went on to star in multiple teen-friendly films, including Hairspray and Shes the Man.
She doesn’t look guilty to me.
I also never slice nor do I ever take Mulligans

Holy crap. That is ugly. She is getting beat up by the ugly stick.

Not sure what the penalty is in CA, but in my state the penalty for refusing a breathalyzer is an automatic loss of license for a YEAR. Cheaper and easier to take your lumps and lose your DL for 3 months.
Honey, stop trying to impress the Court, it isn’t working.
I’m glad I have never heard of her before, but she looks like a complete skank.
Yes, I think so. But what the young lady apparently fails to realize is that in California, when you refuse these tests, that is considered an admission of guilt by the court.
At least that is my peon's understanding of California law; i.e., that is what they tell us in the California DMV's driver's manual that we all have to study in order to pass the written test for a driver's license. (I don't know how that jibes with the fact that in almost every case you read about in the newspapers, where a prominent lawyer or judge is pulled over for suspicion of DUI, without exception, those guys always seem to refuse breathalyzer and blood tests. It seems there is something they are not telling us peons.)
