Issa Confronts Holder with Proof of ‘Fast and Furious’ Falsehoods
PJ Media ^ | June 5, 2012 | Bridget Johnson

Posted on 06/06/2012 12:59:39 AM PDT by XHogPilot

House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) fired off a biting letter to Attorney General Eric Holder today, rebuking him for misleading congressional investigators even as new documents show that senior Justice Department officials had detailed information about Operation Fast and Furious tactics.

Six wiretap applications in the gunwalking scandal were submitted to DoJ officials in Washington for justification and approval. The wiretaps have been sealed by a federal judge, but committee members were able to gain access to them — after Holder refused to turn them over under subpoena.

“In a May 15, 2012 letter, the Deputy Attorney General reiterated the Department’s position that the ‘inappropriate tactics used in Fast and Furious … were not initiated or authorized by Department leadership in Washington.’ We now know that statement is false,” Issa wrote Holder.

The chairman said the wiretap details, which can’t be released to the public, show “shocking” involvement by Justice officials.

“You have repeatedly either denied involvement by senior officials in Fast and Furious, or asserted that the wiretap applications do not contain rich detail about irresponsible investigative tactics,” Issa wrote, outlining several statements Holder has made over the past several months. “We now know that all of these statements are not accurate.”

The chairman warned how the revelations could play into his plan for contempt proceedings against the attorney general.

“The new information contained the wiretap applications places us in a position to begin the process of assigning accountability among senior Department officials, some of whom were responsible for approving the wiretap applications,” Issa wrote. “After having reviewed these applications, we now understand why the Department has been resisting our efforts to secure full cooperation and compliance with the subpoena.”

Holder has to go—yesterday.

The GOP has to demand his resignation, or proceed to impeachment.

We are a nation of laws, not men.

And those that think differently in DC, need to be educated real quick.

Democrats are like muslims.

If they think there is a good reason for them to tell a lie, they will tell a lie.

If there is not a good reason for them to tell a lie, they will lie anyway.

I have been waiting weeks to post “For great justice” and this seems to be the thread for it.

I agree with you, but unfortunately I don't think much of anything will happen. A lot of talk and no action from the Republicans. The Republicans in the Senate under McConnell, and the House, under Boehner have become a bunch disgusting, do nothing enunichs. You give them raw meat and they let it spoil!

Issa keeps chugging away with absolutely no help from his Republican colleagues.

This should be bigger than Watergate and yet they are letting it die on the vine.

Ooooo... the definition of Republican “courage”... firing off another “biting” letter to the perp. Given that the previous “nibbling” and “gnawing” letters were met with continued defiance, I’m going to go out on a limb and say this joke of an AG is again shaking in his boots.

Murdergate is a million times worse than Watergate (a 3rd rate burglary, no deaths) but the MSM could not care any less.

ABCNNBCBS is GGTV: Gangster Govt TV. American Pravda.

It's interesting to see how our government functions when those empowered to enforce the law are the primary criminals.

Impeachment or resignation are not enough. Hundreds of people have died as a result of Fast and Furious. These people were murdered because of the Lefts desire to disarm us. Those people died for a political agenda.

Every person that was involved with Fast and Furious except for the whistleblowers need to stand trial for premeditated murder and face the death penalty.

Secondly, because of the Governments blatant attempt at undermining the Rights of the Citizens, punitive repeals of gun laws must take place. First off, all exemptions to gun laws for the Government in regards to importation and bans must be outlawed. All current bans must be repealed. All importation restrictions must be repealed. And finally, the Sporting Purpose clause must be repealed.

Anything less than this will not be acceptable.

Time for Issa to really start rolling on this and if Boehner gets in the way, roll over him too.
Time to get rid of the weakest link in the chain.

Fast and Furious is only the very tip of the iceberg too...

The 0bama administration is engaged in State-Sponsored terrorism!

December 8, 2011
Dear Representative Gardner:
Dear Senator Udall:
Dear Senator Bennet:

Let's call Fast and Furious, Castaway, "Grenade Walker" and "Cash Walker" what they are. State-sponsored terrorism.

On this side of the border they are violations of the RICO Act. In Mexico and Honduras it is state-sponsored terrorism.

What else would you call heavily arming international criminal syndicates within foreign countries wherein those countries are in a death struggle with those syndicates?

Especially when it goes beyond thousands of assault rifles to include grenades, RPGs, shoulder fired rockets, anti-aircraft guns, night vision equipment, body armor and special deals to bring their drugs onto our soil with legal impunity?

Not to mention the just-revealed news that the rip crew that killed BP Agent Brian Terry was there with DEA and FBI assistance and approval to attack and kill a rival cartel's smuggling crew.

Let's not leave out the FBI and DEA laundering millions of dollars for the drug cartels by setting up bank accounts for them that they otherwise couldn't do.

It is organized, it is spread throughout every Federal LEA and it violates numerous domestic laws and numerous statutes and treaties that deal with foreign nations. Yet none of it has been officially sanctioned by Congress. (that I know of) It is the Federal government acting like mafioso.

Pres. Obama, AG Eric Holder and Sec. State Hillary Clinton are all deeply involved in this and it is unquestionably state-sponsored terrorism by the definition used to define states like Iran and North Korea.

PS: if you think I am wrong or exaggerating any of this I will be glad to bring you up to speed with very well sourced articles, legal depositions (publically available) and other public information that verifies every word I have said.

Either you are with these criminals or you are with U.S. I implore you to get informed, get involved and act or get run over by this. This lawless scandal is not going away.

Sincerely,

Mr. (TigersEye)
