Morning After Walker Victory, Morning Joe Excludes Republicans For First 69 Minutes
NewsBusters ^ | Mark Finkelstein

Posted on 06/06/2012 5:22:21 AM PDT by governsleastgovernsbest

Scott Walker scored an historic victory last night. The first governor ever to fend off a recall election. Winning in the face of a furious big labor effort against him. And so, to comment on this resounding Republican victory, Morning Joe . . . assembled a lefty panel and excluded any Republicans until the second hour, when Virginia Governor Bob McDonnell was finally allowed to put in an appearance.

With Joe Scarborough off for the day, the panel consisted of Mika Brzezinski, former Dem congressman Harold Ford, Jr., former Newsweek editor Jon Meacham, Mike Allen of Politico, and just to balance things off . . . Howard Dean!

Morning Joe can’t deal with the truth: excludes Republicans for first 69 minutes today. Ping to Today show list.

It was probably better TV with just Dems. Watching them spin and wring their hands must have been delightful.

Meh. Kinda glad they ran only Democrats. The backpeddling and spinning must have been EPIC.

I have no idea who “Morning Joe” is, and could not care less.
One of the best parts of not living in the USSA is that
I do not have to be bombarded by Commie news stations.

I have been receiving FOX news only for the past year.
Fortunately, my satellite service does NOT carry the Communist News Network, much less PMSNBC.

I'm no fan of Scarborough, but when he's not there, Mika demonstrates her lack of intellect in her attempts to drive the conversation.

Her facial expressions, her body language, her school marm persona, are painful to watch. The only job she's competent at is reading the news.

Still, I DVR'ed the show this morning, so I can watch it when I get home from work.

Howard Dean!
I surfed onto pmsNBC just as Dean was frothing at the mouth exclaiming that the recall results will have no bearing on the election in November. Nope, don't even think it.
He added that no GOP presidential candidate had won WI since Reagan in '84 - AND IT WILL NEVER HAPPEN AGAIN. So there.
What a feckin' whack job.

CNN wasn’t must better last evening.

At the poll closing (8:00 CT) in WI, Wolfie comes on gleefully saying that the Walker-Barrett race was at 50%-50% — based on exit polls.

However, early returns showed Walker hovering around 60%. That number wavered some, but Walker never lost the lead.

CNN, rather than bothering with the ‘uneventful’ returns in WI, turned their programming to reruns of events in Britain heralding Queen Elizabeth’s 60 year reign.

By the 9:00 hour, it was evident that Walker was going to win. CNN had to capitulate and talk about election returns. They even had to announce, after NBC, that Walker was the winner in WI, followed a few minutes later than the Repub Lt Gov was also winning her recall vote.

Wolfie and Team were very saddened.

I would LOVE to know what speech Barrett had ready if he had won!!

Let’s guess:

I proclaim victory over the hard-line right-wing gun lovers! Now let’s finish the job by removing the scum of conservative filth that remains as a stain on the People’s Republic of Wisconsin ! ! !

But instead, he’s asking Walker to “Please work with us to bring the people together.”

The libs are all two-faced bastards...

My favorite spin so far was some democrat hack on MSNBC last night claiming that Walker's victory was really good news for Obama because it showed the country was no longer in the anti-incumbent mood it was in during the 2010 midterms.

Not a single report on Wisconsin I have seen on Florida morning tv while working out.

Oh, but they have been talking about Obamugabe’s wife strong arming Disney’s advertising clientele for the past three days.

In all seriousness, this is absolutely SOP at MSNBC. "Next, a roundtable on the upcoming Republican primaries. How will the killing of Osama Bin Laden affect their efforts to differentiate themselves? Joining me will be Katrina Vanden Heuvel, editor of The Nation, California Senator Barbara Boxer, actor Alec Baldwin, and the reverend Jessie Jackson..."

Clicked on it the other day to see what they were covering.

Their guest was an author that wants to rewrite the constitution. They were sitting around taking turns about how flawed it is, needs to be replaced.

It was the 6th or 7th story at the beginning of ABC's “Good Morning America” this morning, just ahead of Sheryl Crow's benign brain tumor.

I tuned in late, to fill up a mug of shadenfraude.

Caught the segment with Governor Bob McDonnell. He did great. Just smiled and brought facts to counterbalance their dirges and lamentations.

Even Harold Ford seemed to realize that the pervailing sense of doom was inappropriate for a news organization and tried to cheer them up, if only for appearances sake.

Their "panel" for the 2010 elections was Rachael Maddow, Chris Matthews, Keith Olbermann, and Lawrence O'Donnell.

They put Michelle Bachmann on live feed from a victory party, so they could grill her about whether she would urge the FBI to start imprisoning liberals (Matthew's lead question), and whether or not she was on drugs(O'Donnell's).

I'm not making that up either.
