Look for Obama to be now “one and DONE” with that decision.

Also this is slapping the face of a President before him, Bill Clinton who made the idea known.

“Press Secretary Jay Carney told reporters aboard Air Force One on Wednesday that President Obama will not sign an extension.

“He will not. Could I be more clear?”

Obama is resigned to the fact that he is going to lose, now he is pandering to his barking moonbat base to keep his loss margin from setting a record as the highest in history.

Why are these called the “Bush tax cuts”? The Bush legislation EXPIRED. Signing an extension makes them NEW LEGISLATION and thus the “Obama tax cuts”.

After he sees how well this benefits the Romney campaign, he’ll change his tune....or at least the words...

Romney could enhance his campaign by emphasizing the importance of a Republican Sentate, to implement reversals of Obama tyranny.
(we need at least 53 to neuter the McCain effect)

Please, don’t be misled. These commie bastards are accomplishing exactly what they’ve set out to do. They are using the Cloward-Piven strategy to destroy the Republic. So long as folks cannot understand that is the goal of these lying bastard commies, they can continue to ‘make mistakes’ while checking off their list of things to do to collapse the eceonomy of this nation and usher in world-wide ‘governance’ through world-wide economic collapse, stravation, and chaos. These evil bastards are the enemies of freedom and a Constitutional Republic, so don’t give them the excuse of stupidity. They are using demonic brilliance!

And also - several million people who are currently not paying any income tax are going to be added back onto the tax rolls.

Good. We are not going to have much support on cutting spending until EVERY American is paying federal taxes.

If I had my way, federal income tax would be a flat rate, starting with the first dollar, like SS taxes are.

The White House is sticking by its opposition to an extension of the Bush tax cuts for wealthy Americans despite the increasing number of Democrats voicing support for it, including former President Bill Clinton.

Uh-huh. We'll see. This administration has a history of saying one thing and doing the opposite when they think that no one is looking!!

You can ask that with the pres_ _ents economic advice coming down to borrow more to make US fiscally sound? How trillions in debt will it take for you to realize these enemy bastards are trying their best to end The Republic by bankrupting US out of our freedom?

Agreed - a low, flat rate would be preferable, along with a larger taxpayer base and elimination of the wasteful, economically-distorting abomination that our tax code has become. Plus, by giving more people “skin in the game” - you’d naturally create a much larger constituency for limited government spending.

NEVER raise taxes in an election year. Any professional politician knows that. Obama is just a big-eared skinny little mooselimb Kenyan kid that had major support from others to get him elected. As President, though, he can sink his own boat and there is nothing his backers can do about it.

The ONLY possible reason he can be ruling so contrary to the will of the people is because he knows that the November election is a mere formality, because the vote-counting apparatus (a wholly-owned Soros subsidiary) has been compromised and the fix is in.

By allowing the 2003 tax cuts to retire, President “Present” will be increasing the bottom rate from 10% to 15% and the 20% bracket to 25%.

Raising the 10% bracket to 15% represents what percentage of increase? Hint: The correct answer is NOT 5%.

Raising the 20% bracket to 25% represents what percentage of increase? Hint: The correct answer, again, is NOT 5%.

Finally, raising the 35% bracket to 39% represents what percentage of increase: Hint: The correct answer is NOT 4%.

Extra credit question: People in which tax bracket will see the largest percentage of increase in their taxes?

Extra extra credit question: People in which tax bracket will see the smallest percentage of increase in their taxes?

To those moving from the 35% to the 39% tax bracket...that’s roughly an 11% increase in taxes.

From 20% to 25%...that’s a full-blown 25% increase in taxes.

To those moving from the 10% bracket to 15%, their taxes will be increased by a whopping 50%.

So the low-income people get their taxes raised even more when seen as a percentage. And the rich folks lose a higher magnitude of money, but the percentage compared to what they already make is lower.

You gotta wonder if Obama is really serious about running for reelection. He’s giving Romney so many gift wrapped presents in the form of his behavior, demeanor and lack of work ethic. Romney needs only show is birth certificate, college records, success in business, the Olympics and as governor. Obama is so much out of his league. Now, stepping back, one has to remember that there are a lot of ignorant, closed minded people who would vote for Obama even if Obama didn’t care one iota about them... which, by the way, he does not care about anybody period!
