Nah. Can't be. The Perrybots on FR told us Perry was such an awesome tea-party candidate, conservative leader, and "anti-establishment" guy.

WE are the ones who must tidal wave the Republican Party.

The Establishment has not, is not and will not do anything that doesn’t pull the Party to the LEFT, thus, we have a socialist at the top of a Republican ticket.

I hope the convention explodes with rebellion and resistance. We get worked over election after election with the same old canard, that if we don’t stick to their Dole, McCain, Romney script disaster will strike.

When will we resist? Next time will be progressively worse just as our nominee history has already proven.

Reminds me of FDR strategy to stay out of the war. By the time we decided to get in lest we fall, it then cost millions of lives. More than if we had drawn a line in the sand in the early moment.

We’re doing the same thing now, cooperating with the GOPE under duress. Still we are complying, still cooperating, taking our very own selves down.

Been telling you folks that you don't really want to get caught running an honest to goodness RINO for President ~ and there he is.

Guy still hasn't got his foot out of the Democrat traditions ~ and that's part of the problem with having run for and won public office as a Democrat.

He needs more time in the test tubes before another decanting ~ and Dewherst? He's not doing as well as the Mittbots told us he would.

By the time we were “allowed” to vote in Texas, 7 of the 9 Candidates had dropped out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! STUPID Primary Election system!

But I digress.

The facts today are different from the facts in January. ONLY an OPEN Convention can realistically evaluate all the facts in a cohesive manner.

Allow me to state my case in this manner:

The IDEA is to beat Obama convincingly. Forget about your favorite politician, and focus on the IDEA of beating Obama.

The REPUBLICAN Primary Candidates have proven that NONE of THEM can fight their way out of a wet paper bag!

The REPUBLICAN Primary was merely a test run to the GENERAL NATIONAL ELECTION.

REALITY CHECK: NONE OF THE REPUBLICAN PRIMARY CANDIDATES CAN BEAT OBAMA IN NOVEMBER.

Given that reality, let us learn from the lessons of History, insist that the Convention delegates vote to ABSTAIN (=None of the above), OPEN the Tampa Convention to discussion and chose the Candidate that CAN beat Obama.

Why is this so hard?

We owe NO loyalty to ANY of our Primary Candidates.

We owe NO loyalty to the Primary Election results.

We owe no loyalty to the RINO Wing of the Republican Party.

We owe loyalty ONLY to what is best for the United States of America, and that , IMHO, is to CONVINCINGLY DEFEAT OBAMA in November.

In 2008 we accepted the RINO Primary BS on McCain, shame on them.

In 2012 if we accept the RINO Primary BS on Romney, shame on us.

BTW, for all of you that consider Romney to be THE guy, just answer this question:

” What will Romney have to do to keep from being DUMPED at the Tampa Convention?”

I don’t believe this. There may have been a few desultory boos from the Cruz crowd, but I seriously doubt that Rick Perry was booed to any extent.

Perry was and is very popular in Texas and nobody has been able to explain to me why the lawyer Cruz is any great messiah and better than Dewhurst.

I think Cruz is a fad candidate like Herman Cain and he has zero chance of winning.

A January poll found that a majority of Texans did not want Perry to seek a fourth term in 2014.

I wasn't the only one who didn't want him to seek a third term. The only reason he's still here is that conservatives came out to vote against Kay Bailey Hutchinson rather than for Perry.

Oddly enough conservatives did so because KB ain't a conservative.
