From Purple Poll: CO: Obama: 48% Romney: 46% Not sure: 5%...The PurplePoll is fielded and analyzed by Purple Insights, the research division of Purple Strategies, the bipartisan public affairs firm.

After the MSM gets done with Romney, it'll be a wider than 2% Obama lead over Romney.

At that point, it won't matter if conservatives in CO vote for Romney or not...it doesn't matter if a candidate loses by 48 ticks or by 3 or so...it's still a no-go loss in that given state...

"Placing" (beyond first) only matters in horseracing.

well, he won’t do well in the western half- the coal and the oil/natural gas industries are way down due to dem policies, and who’s going drive way out to some out-of-the-way ski town when gas is $4.50/gallon ? The uber-rich aren’t even building custom homes in Aspen anymore- the slowest construction I’ve seen there in 20 years. His policies have hit every sector of our local economy good and hard. People know who to blame.

The front range, though, is another story.

All you can do is train them up to the best of your ability, once they become adults, its on them.

Of course you realize that a Democrat in Utah is the same as an establishment Republican in CA.

They all think they are so speshul.

If he is in serious trouble in CO, then he is in trouble natinonally....which of course he is.

Ain’t over yet.

But clearly the GOP is on offense and obama is on defense.

This Freeper moved last summer from California to Colorado and brought a strong conservative voting record with him. I’m doing my part to change CO from blue to red. CA is a lost cause.

Welcome to Colorado.

I escaped in 2008, having lived in CA for 21 years.

I think the kinds of people moving here tend to be right of center. Moving here to work.

There is big government bias, however. But they tend to get things done like build roads, stadiums and the new airport. The public schools are decent.

That said, they also have poured money into a light rail system that has yet to be viable. Plus "green" is big.

CO was always gonna be close this time. I expect a near tie as this polls suggests. Good candidate for closest state.
