EDITORIAL: Slick Willy is sinking Barack
The Washington Times ^ | 8 June 2012 | Washington Times OP Ed

Posted on 06/08/2012 5:24:40 AM PDT by COBOL2Java

If Bill Clinton wants Barack Obama to win re-election, he is doing a good job of hiding it. Just when the Obama campaign was trying to convince the country that Mitt Romney’s tenure at Bain Capital disqualifies him from the presidency, former President Clinton chimed in last week saying Mr. Romney did “good work” at Bain. He added, “a man who’s been governor and had a sterling business career crosses the qualification threshold.” All he left out was, “especially compared to a community organizer.”

[snip]

...why would Mr. Clinton seek to sabotage Mr. Obama? Because he needs to win. Mr. Clinton always wanted to go down in history as one of the great presidents. He rarely makes the list of the top 10, and he has been thoroughly eclipsed by Mr. Obama, whose ethnicity made his election historic from Day One. The current president achieved the health care reform Mr. Clinton could not and ordered the killing of Osama bin Laden when Mr. Clinton would not. Most galling of all is Mr. Obama being awarded a Nobel Peace Prize, the recognition Mr. Clinton most sought in his presidency but which eluded him. He then had to witness his former vice president Al Gore be given the prize for his crazy ranting about global warming.

Helping make Mr. Obama a one-termer will harm Barack’s standing in history, perhaps dropping him below Mr. Clinton on the list of presidential greats. That’s right where Willy wants him.

Best analysis I've seen as to why Clinton is torpedoing Obama's campaign - notwithstanding the fact that Clinton hates Obama, of course.

You can dislike Romney and even think that his views disqualify him from being President, but based on his life’s experience if Mitt Romney isn’t qualified to be president then nobody is. He’s undeniably more qualified than Obama was, or even is, since the past 4 years have been a disaster for this country and qualify the big O for nothing above rejection and defeat.

That’s great. I think Willy realized how much he and Mitt have in common.

In other news, Bob Uecker rarely makes the list of the top 10 baseball players of all time.

It couldn’t be that Bill is trying to give something back to his country by counteracting the Zero’s dogma?

This is hilarious!

Clinton comes out with these things against obama and for Romney —— Then says he's sorry!

Given Obama's experience in ANYTHING before getting into the WH I'm surprised he would even try to campaign against ANYBODY regarding experience.

Obama was not and is not qualified to be dogcatcher

The current president achieved the health care reform Mr. Clinton could not

Obama crammed down the Americans throats an unconstitutional bill hated by most Americans - hardly something which will make him be considered a great President.

and ordered the killing of Osama bin Laden when Mr. Clinton would not.

We will come to learn that Obama had to be pulled, kicking and screaming, to make this order which was much easier to do after 911.

Most galling of all is Mr. Obama being awarded a Nobel Peace Prize

The history of this event will not be good. They awarded a purely political prize to a person who did absolutely nothing to deserve any such award. The prize has been denigrated to the point it is meaningless.

My thinking is that Kennedy was still alive and going against the Clintons to prove he was in charge of the dems. That's why they lost to BO.

Now that Kennedy is no more, Bill is taking over and doing his best to sink the Kennedy-backed Obama.

Completely agree, this Op-ed is off the mark. It has everything to do with the dirty tricks Bambi pulled on Hilda-beast in 2008. In addition the Beast would have a much better chance in 2016 running against President Romney. No one would vote Rat after eight years of Bambi.

Think of what Obama had said. Just because you were governor of a state does not make you more qualified than me. That there is a slap in the face of somebody like former Governor Clinton. Though I think that's just the tip of the iceberg about what ticks off Clinton about Obama.

I think we're so use to Obama's lazy lies, you know, telling the American people they have a job when they know they do not have anything to get up and go to tomorrow, telling us the sun is blue when we can see it's orange.

Even Bill Clinton is looking like an honest man next to Obama.

Back in 92 when I was still active I had the opportunity to discuss the Clintons with AKANG officers who attended functions with them. I was told that the “F” and the “N” words were a major part of the Clintons’s vocabulary. I never bought the 1st Black American BS that the MSM continually published. I think that too, may come into play, with his current attitude towards Obama. Besides, its really a battle between the “Two Geniuses”, so let the game begin.

They always do that. Back stepping is one of their methods. It’s both confusing and distracting according to them.

According to us it’s nothing but a big lie and scam.

Clinton reminds me of what I experienced with laundry;

I hate doing laundry.

My wife asked me to do laundry.

I did laundry; All the whites were not white, and shrinkables shrunk.

I don’t have to do laundry now.

Neither the Democrat Party nor Obama will obligate Clinton from now through the election.
