Bloomington man called 'most prolific producer of child pornography' in international porn ring

Investigators have busted a child pornography ring spread across the U.S. and Europe that produced and distributed sexually explicit images of babies and toddlers online, federal prosecutors in Indianapolis said Thursday.

The “most prolific producer of child pornography” in the group was 26-year-old David Bostic of Bloomington, Assistant U.S. Attorney Brant Cook said.

Bostic persuaded parents to allow him to babysit and, thus entrusted, abused the children without their knowledge, Assistant U.S. Attorney Steve DeBrota said.

Bostic was arrested in November 2010 after federal, state and local investigators raided his home in Bloomington, uncovering hundreds of pictures and videos on his computer of children engaged in sexual acts, including four girls aged from 2 months to 3 years and one 4-year-old boy who had been entrusted to his care.

He was convicted on 65 counts and sentenced to 315 years in prison.

DeBrota told reporters that one suspect had an ultrasound image of an unborn baby whom the prosecutor characterized as a potential future victim. He declined to provide more details, citing the ongoing investigation.

More than 20 suspects have been captured in nine states, and authorities are investigating yet more elsewhere in the U.S., as well as Sweden, Serbia, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom.

Babies must be protected. No baby should be neglected like this. I am sure these were very busy parents without much money and they jumped at the chance to “park” baby with this weird guy. NO! Red flag!!

The only good news is that these scumbags keep congregating on the internet, where they can only remain hidden for so long. I’d think that would make the job of finding them and locking them up that much easier.

Sadly that is true. I am a 60 y/o man who never had children, but as all the people in my family do I love babies. Our local hospital was in need of people to help with rocking and feeding newborns. I responded to the ad and was told right up front only women need to apply. The sad thing is that I didn’t have children because unlike me my late wife did not like kids and never wanted any. I would like to thank Mr. Bostic and his friends for making life miserable for the normal among us.
