FLORIDA THUMBS NOSE AT DOJ; CLEANS VOTER ROLLS OF FELONS, ILLEGALS
Big Government ^ | 6-8-12 | MARGARET MENGE

Leonard Pitts, possibly the worst columnist taking up space at a major American newspaper, complains this week about Florida’s attempt to clean its voter roll in a column entitled ‘GOP Power Play.’ Specifically, he’s outraged that a voter should have to prove eligibility!

The outrage is that the 19 million people who live in Florida have been so ill served for so long by a lazy, incompetent and incurious press.

You would think after the independent review of the 2008 vote in Minneapolis-St. Paul found that 393 felons had voted, more than enough to eclipse Al Franken’s 312-vote margin of victory just in two counties, journos in Florida, the hotspot of election controversy, would have gotten on the ball and started combing through our voter roll to find out how many felons are on it, and how many dead people, how many non-citizens and how many second home owners already voting Up North.

They haven’t. None have, that I’veevery heard. Because they Don’t Care. They don’t a clean roll. Let’s face it. They want a roll they can monkey with.

There’s plenty of evidence the Florida voter roll has lots of ineligible voters on it.

What’s great about this act of defiance is that for the DOJ to somehow restore the missing people, they would have to positively re-certify or re-register actual dead people, one by one. Congratulations, Florida! All Florida has to do is to claim the names were wiped out and they simply aren’t there any more. They disappeared into Eric Holder’s memory banks.

It’s time to put more effort into calling out these reporters/media outlets by name and make them answer whether or not they support illegal voting. Every time an article appears crying about poor disenfranchised illegal voters, conservative media needs to unload on them and ride them like the Lone Ranger on Silver.

Make them personally accountable for their words.

And, it’s not just eligibility. Some of these ‘voters’ have to prove they’re alive! Duh.

I was gonna suggest that the above title be altered to include Democrats then I realized that would be an redundant.

LOL! I get an absolute kick out of these lamebrains who think that pushing us around is going to win them Florida voters.
They can darn near write Florida off now, so pounding nails into their own coffin isn’t going to help them one whit.

If I am a felon who payed my debt to society, why can’t I vote and bear arms-—are we now second class citizens-—and if so, why should I be obligated to pay any tax whatsoever?
It seems disgusting to me that a felon who served his sentance is lumped in with illegal aliens, out of state cheats, and dead people; that’s not the United States I want to live in, nor pay taxes without representation to.

Nothing to see here folks. We are just going through our voter rolls removing dead folks. However, if we run across a felon or non-citizen, we will remove them also. Just routine maintenance.

What process ever cleans the voter roles! It should be required that people re-register every 5 or 10 years to keep them halfway accurate in the first place.

Meanwhile, the DOJ has been thumbing its nose at Congress over Fast & Furious.

The law can still restrict rights even though the legal debt has been met.

That is why we don’t allow pedophiles access to children, those convicted of bank fraud employment in financial institutions, etc.

Paying your debt doesn’t restore moral turpitude.

It is what it is. Go whine elsewhere, or change the law legislatively.

You’re free to go somewhere else, last I checked. That may not always be the case, especially if the type(s) of voter fraud that has gone on and which this move attempts to correct continue unabated.

There are plenty of “unblemished” voters who pay taxes and are obligated to pay taxes to/for things they do not support. And why should dead people have as many rights as you want for yourself, whether you’ve paid your debt to society or not? In a total anarchy, you’d have a valid argument.
