We begin tonight with what has become by any measure a pretty massive protest movement. While it goes by the official name ‘Occupy Wall Street,’ it has spread steadily and far beyond Wall Street, and it could well turn out to be the protest of this current era. ---Brian Williams on Oct. 5, 2011 gushing with extreme hype over OWS.

Despite all the friendly hype given to the Occupy Wall Street protests by much of the mainstream media, OWS is now in its death throes according to this Reuters report by Chris Francescani. He also notes that as OWS is about to be taken off life support, the much maligned Tea Party movement is doing quite well by contrast:

OWS did Wisconsin’s Scot Walker a favor.

But focussing on “income inequality” they drew people’s attention to the diparity in pay and especially benefits between public and private workers and also union and non-union workers.

In other words, their ‘income inequalty’ message backfired on them. People took it to heart but NOT the way they intended.

If it’s not a grass root heartfelt movement....with NO leader, just us “schmucks” clinging to our Bibles and guns, there is no stopping us.

America is America, no matter what they say.

“The left will be most dangerous when cornered...”

When the left is cornered, it will run and hide or sign surrender papers, ie, see Vichy France, Cornwallis, Sanford, Florida, Los Angeles, Columbine, Neville Chamberlain, etc., etc.

LOL. They need to call a meeting and try to figure out what they’re supposed to think.

Our local Tea Party has been about local and state politics. We have decided that we are in it for the long haul. We will replace the dems in charleston one at a time until the state and local leaders are all conservatives. We got several of our candidates elected in the primary. Now we are working to get them elected in the general. We will also work on getting the most conservative candidates elected to state offices. We plan on working hard from now to Nov. Then we start the process all over again for 2016. This is what all Tea Parties should be doing and I believe most of them are.

OWS began with the support of Libertarians who were too stupid to understand they were funded and orchestrated by radical leftists. Most of them have dropped out now.

If Romney gets in and panders to them, they will become dangerous. If he ignores them and shuts them down when they act like thugs, they will peter out.

I think we won’t get out from under the mistake of obama without race riots in some cities. They need to be handled without sympathy and response to their race baiting.
