EDITORIAL: Obama, the leaker in chief

Politics trumps national security in Barack’s White House

President Obama takes umbrage at the idea that a spate of leaks of highly classified national-security information is somehow purposefully intended to bolster his leadership credentials. His resistance to an independent investigation will only make things worse for him. The Obama White House is leaking like a sieve. Trying to cover it up will only make the scandal bigger.

On Friday, Mr. Obama took the charges of selective leaks head-on: “The notion that my White House would purposely release classified national-security information is offensive,” he said. “It’s wrong, and people I think need to have a better sense of how I approach this office and how the people around me here approach this office.” His protestations carry little credibility. On the previous day, the White House rejected a bipartisan call by leaders of the House and Senate intelligence committees to appoint a special counsel to investigate the leaks.

Even very liberal legislators are worried about the brewing crisis of administration staff leaks. Senate Intelligence Committee Chairman Dianne Feinstein, California Democrat, told CNN on Thursday, “I’ve been on the Intelligence Committee for 11 years and I have never seen it worse.” Mr. Obama’s high dudgeon about the temerity of accusations of White House impropriety will not be enough to save his team from scrutiny.

There have been leaks about drone strikes, U.S. special operations and foreign classified information such as Israel’s alleged deal with Azerbaijan to support a military strike against Iran...

The leaks from the WH are criminal and may have already cost lives.

“The notion that my White House would purposely release classified national-security information is offensive,” he said. “It’s wrong,..."

This is a classic non-denial denial. He says that the "notion" that his White House would release the information is "offensive". He didn't even bother to directly deny it.

I don’t honestly think the Zero is aware there is a problem. His psychosis is so deep he can’t separate his re-election from his duties as president. His job IS to be re-elected at all costs.

There was a story today about him meeting secretly with a group of young actors. Why in secret? Why, because he would have caught flack for $ucking off again. So, instead he hid it.

His personal growth stopped around 15 or 16. We have a teenager running the country and not a very good one at that.

Yes, he's a polished tap dancer and pathological liar. The notion they've leaked intelligence may be “offensive” but it is without a doubt true.

Now they've flipped and Holder is going to go ahead and appoint 2 special prosecutors.

I think there is a growing civil war between the "DLC" types and the "New Party" types in the Democratic Party.

At the same time Romney is currently playing his cards right and unifying the GOP more.

Going to be interesting to see how this plays out.

“The notion that my White House would purposely release classified national-security information is offensive,” he said. “It’s wrong, and people I think need to have a better sense of how I approach this office and how the people around me here approach this office.”...The notion that Obama thinks the people are stupid enough to be intimidated with his phony righteous indignation is offensive - he's got to get a better sense of how the public sees him and has gotten to understand that he'll say and do anything, even if it hurts the Country, to hang on to power......

The use of marijuana early in life arrests emotional development. Early smokers get stuck at about 12-14 years of age emotionally. Obama is a prime example.

The key word in the sentence is “classified.” In order for it to not be classified, all that needs to happen is that the President declassify it. My prediction is that the report will ultimately state that the information came from the White House, but it wasn’t classified because the President ordered the information be released.

Now they've flipped and Holder is going to go ahead and appoint 2 special prosecutors.

If I'm not mistaken, those special prosecutors are going to be investigating leaks from within the DOJ regarding Fast and Furious.

I may be wrong but I do not think Holder appointed two “special prosecutors” he asked two attorneys to “ investigate “ the leaks

Vastly different powers....special prosecutors have authorization from Congress to spend money and indict....and are accountable to no know

These guys are political cover for Holder ....

You are right...it is 2 lawyers Holder is appointing for the leaks case.

I think this story has legs to last awhile.

“Non-denial denial”

I noticed that. I wonder if he personally made to calls to friends in the MSM?

“The notion that my White House”

This guy is delusional. It is the peoples’ White House.

It is his administration.
