There are some things to like.
As Texas politicians and everywhere else kiss their asses while standing on the tax payers backs for the past 30 years, forcing them to subsidize their own demise?

There is a very short list of people who are behind this. NALEO and LULAC and MALDEF, of course, are on the other side, but the people who are making the difference right now -- and for the last 15 years -- in favor of unlimited illegal immigration are the 242 or so plutocratic contributors to Rick Perry's political campaigns for governor.
They include:
- The Tyson family (Tyson Foods), formerly led by the late Don Tyson,
- Billionaire investor Harold Simmons,
- Bob Perry, billionaire proprietor of Perry Homes,
- Walter Butt, greengrocer and principal (he's the B) in the H.E.B. food store chain,
- Chicken tycoon Bo Pilgrim (who has been temporarily kicked upstairs by his board for other corporate-governance shenanigans), who was once, about 10 years ago, videotaped from the gallery walking around the floor of the Texas senate while it was in session, handing out envelopes containing checks for $10,000 as a "thank-you" to certain senators for tangible legislative assistance, a very visible quid pro quo that should have landed them all in prison.
That's only a part of the top 5% or so of the list.
Butt and Perry led the delegation of superrich gargoyles around the Texas legislature during its special session last summer to reassure each and every solon who voted for the bill outlawing notorious "sanctuary city" policies (zero enforcement of immigration laws, zero reporting to federal ICE/INS of illegals arrested for crimes), that he or she would be primaried with vast fluxes of plutocratic "political contributions" if they voted to shut down the sanctuary policies. (Houston has one.)
The bill magically died like one of those Godfather scenes -- just a flock of men walking away from one guy, who's choking and strangling to death on his own blood in the middle of the public square, his throat cut in broad daylight, and "didn't nobody see nuttin' ".
The tide of public opinion runs strongly against temporizing with illegals, and has for some time, so these guys are confidently swimming upstream and having their way.
A Houston jury just sentenced an illegal alien who got drunk and killed a Houston motorcycle cop to 55 years in prison, and of course the LULAC/LaRaza chorus started up within the hour, saying the jury only gave out a harsh sentence because one of their own was killed. (Can you spell "racismo"?

It's not like we were planning an Armenian death march or something, but Texas can do it ~ just round 'em up and move 'em out!
Might make sure they take their RINO sympaticos with them.
You know something? I never see this mentioned even by our side, but EVERY city in the US and the FedGov itself has evacuation/relocation plans in place for war/disaster scenarios. And what are they? The forced relocation of people, many of which are not going to want to leave.
So we already have the very structure in place to do it once they are rounded up. The busses are planned for, the army convoy vehicles located strategically around the country ready to deploy on extremely short notice.
Yet we are to believe that illegal aliens are in possession of some magical totem that prevents us from re/moving them, wet actual freaking Americans will have to line up and comply because that’s the way it is.
The doublethink and situational ethics of today’s political/agenda class is beyond sickening. We know where the vast majority of illegals are at this second. This crap about ‘we have no idea where they are” is preposterous. They are concentrated in cities, ag areas and non skilled factory areas.
You simply announce that deportation is now underway, they will bolt from their jobs. You announce that we will enforce laws pertaining to sheltering criminals and neighbors will put their own need to avoid proscecution ahead of their potential desire to shelter their illegal buddies.
By this point, all ‘benefits’ and educational opportunities would also have been ended. They have exactly nowhere to go and few people to protect them (and those that did wouldn’t for long once the heat got turned up on them.)
So the VAST majority would head home, on their own or with a free ride via Uncle Sam. Over the next year or two, ICE and local police would weed through the rest, having a manageable number to work with.
Everything mentioned above is currently legal, on the books and simply waiting for someone with more love of his/her country than of every country but. All those returning to their country of origin, having had a taste of America would then likely want the same where they were, since they would NOT be coming back here.
And considering we’re talking about 30 million or likely more, you’d see some serious change in the world.
The dumb thing is, congress could just increase the quota for legal immigrants from Mexico. But actually teaching them citizenship might make them highly paid republicans rather than democratic plantation slaves.
Jery Patterson and the Chair of the Platform committe worked to push this through, along withNorm Adams. We lost the amendments votes Wed. And Thursday in Committee and then on the Floor, Friday. The Delegates denied amendment on the floor.

There are rumblings that the 2012 Republican Party of Texas Platform is “pro-amnesty.” the ones saying this have a history of assuming the worst and getting attention because they accuse.
The wording in the RPT 2012 platform (on page 21) titled, “The Texas Solution” plank isn’t “pro-amnesty.” It is a little wimpy and *too easily interpreted* to allow amnesty – especially if someone or some group chooses to interpret it that way.
I, too, wanted to see changes in the wording of “The Texas Solution” that would ensure that no one claimed that we in the RPT approve amnesty of any kind. The term “illegal alien” should have been used instead of “undocumented individuals” and the plan should specifically require guest workers to return to their country of legal residence to apply for guest worker visa.
However, the most important fact is that the Platform was passed after the Delegates had plenty of time and warning to read the planks and even some advance warning about what to read and why. The amendments failed in Sub-Committee, in the larger Platform Committee (on both Wednesday and on Thursday) and then, at the General Session when voted on by the Delegation.
The good news is that the Platform isn’t law. It is a list of those things we in the RPT believe. We do believe in “solutions,” not just complaints and criticisms. We will insist that our elected officials not - in any way, shape or form - promote “amnesty.”
Bet you'd only need to do that once.....
BTW, i think we should avoid that term “solution” ~ has some bad ju-ju about it ~ use some other term.

The Committee lost the vote for the amendment and the substitution, twice each. By one or tw votes each time. The floor votes failed by fairly obvious voice votes, although the group of us who tried were fairly organized and had plans for serial amendments.
I,m afraid that Commissioner Patterson influenced too many and way too many were just ready to recess for the night.
It didn’t help that we had some truly fringe and disruptive people - one with a sign carried ‘round and ‘round, bless his heart, threatening to bring up amendments like reinstatement of the sodomy plank. That made the uninformed wary.
And then, there were the anarchists and Paulers in our midst, who don’t want borders or protection of any boundaries, including life and marriage.
And then, last but not least there were the ones who didn’t care unless their 3 word phrases got into the Platform. They were playing power gmes.
Oh, sure, and then I’d give ‘em another reason to film, photograph, and dramatically write down my name. (not that I’m afraid they’d be any better that the chairmen or secretaries who butchered it all week.)
Besides, I was too busy trying to figure out how to politely describe the Texas sodomy statutes (a friend suggested explaining that we’d all be felons) and trying to insert “elective” to people who didn’t care if mother’s lives were lost because “we’re all about the baby,”

How are all of these women entering the United States anyway? I can’t picture pregnant women walking many miles through the wilderness to have their anchor babies in American hospitals?
It’s time for tea party people to get together and protest employers that oppose reasonable anti-illegal alien measures.

Texas, for all its bragging, is one of the weak states when it comes to preventing an invasion from the south. The other is California. Yes, I’m comparing you to THAT state.
California lets in illegal aliens because the left-wing nuts want them for voters, and Texas lets in illegal aliens because business ‘conservatives’ want them as cheap, exploitable labor. There really isn’t much difference between the two - evil is as evil does.
This platform doesn’t sound too bad, actually.
It looks like the Texas GOP have been serving their cheap labor businesses while feeding the voters their faux conservative pablum...God, guns, gays, the flag, abortion etc. Keep the voters distracted while the state fills up with illegal alien invaders and the modern day plantation owners enrich themselves.
