President Obama Proclaims June “Gay Pride Month”
The New American ^ | 6/8/2012 | Dave Bohon

Posted on 06/10/2012 12:29:31 PM PDT by IbJensen

Every year he has been in office President Obama has made it a point to cozy up to America’s tiny homosexual activist minority by officially recognizing June as “Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Pride Month.” This year, of course, was no exception. Having just come out officially in favor of legalizing same-sex “marriage,” the President followed up on June 1 by issuing this year’s proclamation setting aside the entire month to commemorate the valuable contributions that gays, lesbians, transvestites, and an odds-and-ends assortment of sexually- and gender-confused individuals have made to American society.

“The lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) community has written a proud chapter” in American history, declared Obama with this year’s announcement. “From brave men and women who came out and spoke out, to union and faith leaders who rallied for equality, to activists and advocates who challenged unjust laws and marched on Washington, LGBT Americans and allies have achieved what once seemed inconceivable. This month, we reflect on their enduring legacy, celebrate the movement that has made progress possible, and recommit to securing the fullest blessings of freedom for all Americans.”

The President used the proclamation to remind the “gay” community of all he has done for its members, and how much homosexual voters owe him their support come November. “Since I took office, my administration has worked to broaden opportunity, advance equality, and level the playing field for LGBT people and communities,” Obama said. He pointed out that it was he who forced through the Matthew Shepard and James Byrd, Jr., Hate Crimes Prevention Act, bullied Congress into ending the common sense “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” ban on homosexuals serving in the military, and is currently doing everything he can to overturn the federal Defense of Marriage Act and legislate the redefinition of same-sex partnerships as “marriage.”

But “more remains to be done to ensure every single American is treated equally, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity,” continued the President. “Moving forward, my administration will continue its work to advance the rights of LGBT Americans,” he promised as he officially recognized June as “LGBT Pride” month and invited the American people to celebrate homosexuality as a normal — even praiseworthy — lifestyle.

On the heels of his proclamation, Obama appeared at a June 6 fundraiser attended by some 600 homosexual activists and “gay rights” supporters, including lesbian talk-show host Ellen DeGeneres and 1970s pop singing star and actress Cher, whose own daughter went through “gender reassignment” and changed her name from Chastity to “Chaz” in an effort to live as a man.

OneNewsNow.com reported that Obama “appeared to feed off the energy” of the crowd as he pledged to block any attempt at the reinstatement of the “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” ban. Signing the repeal of that ban, Obama said, was a high-water mark for him as President.

On June 5, Stars and Stripes, the government-funded armed forces newspaper, described the results of the lifting of that ban, joyfully reporting that homosexual military personnel openly celebrated their lifestyle at a special “LGBT Pride” reception thrown by the U.S. Ambassador to Japan in Tokyo. “I can’t believe I’ve been in the Air Force 23 years living in secret, hiding who I am, and now I’m invited to a reception by the emissary of the president of the United States,” Stars and Stripes quoted one attendee, Air Force Master Sgt. Marc Maschhoff.

The military newspaper reported that the event “was an exciting and emotional night for Maschhoff and a handful of other U.S. servicemembers. Maschhoff traveled with his boyfriend — who is also an airman — from Misawa Air Base in northern Japan to Tokyo for the event. Maschhoff said he was invited by the embassy because of his affiliation with the group Outserve, a Washington, D.C.-based association for gay servicemembers with chapters worldwide.”

Amazingly, President Obama has appealed to his supposed Christian faith to justify his support for normalizing the homosexual lifestyle through the force of his office. OneNewsNow reported that on the same day he made his “LGBT Pride” proclamation, and right after a group of black pastors asked to meet with him over their concerns about his endorsement of same-sex marriage as a civil right, “the president pointed to his wife and told ABC News, ‘When we think about our faith, the thing at root that we think about is not only Christ sacrificing Himself on our behalf, but it’s also the golden rule — treat others the way you’d want to be treated.’”

Peter LaBarbera of Americans for Truth About Homosexuality pointed out that the President is behaving “as if rights based on perverse and immoral behavior are basic rights…. Of course, those aren’t basic rights. Basic rights are what we all share as Americans. Rights based on perversion, on changeable homosexual sin, are not basic rights.” He added that “for a man like Obama, who professes to be a faithful Christian, to be celebrating an agenda based on using the government to create rights based on changeable homosexual behavior — that’s a travesty.”

Bob Stith, a strategist on gender issues for the Southern Baptist Convention and head of its Task Force on Ministry to Homosexuals, told Baptist Press News that Obama is purposefully casting “all those who have a genuine, biblically based belief that homosexual acts are sin as haters.” But, he added, “it is not prejudicial to say that certain acts which have been viewed as sin for over 3,000 years by all three major religions are still sin.”

Stith added that the “words the president uses in his drive to normalize homosexuality clearly portray any who disagree with him as prejudiced bigots. Those who agree are loving and brave. The danger here is that those who dare to seek to protect the definition of marriage which has stood unchallenged for thousands of years are themselves the victims of prejudice and hate.”

Sadly, Stith said, Obama’s “LGBT Pride” proclamation “shows no interest in preventing this kind of bigotry. Rather it is another example that if something is repeated often enough it will be accepted as truth even if the evidence doesn’t support it.”

So, more than likely lots of lesbian, gay, and bisexuals on Obama’s stuff (directly and indirectly), but how’s he doing with Transgender or Transvestite Pride?

Now, I’m thinking perhaps Janet Napolitano can be listed as a possibility, but is that it?

Someone notify the NYT that something need to be done about this oversight!

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but everyone here has a need to know ... just in the last few months Romney has confirmed his believe that gay and lesbian couples should have the right to adopt children, though (for some reason) he doesn't think they should be able to get married.

Voting against something is one thing. Voting FOR it is altogether different. People who vote for Romney may be voting against Obama, but they'll be voting FOR a guy who has been a steadfast friend of the gay agenda. As governer, he even proclaimed Gay Youth Pride and its outreach to schools.

I have a duty to vote -- I HAVE to vote; to refrain from voting would be dereliction of duty and a betrayal of patriotism.

It would be a betrayal of conservative philosophy to work toward making a confirmed amoral statist like Romney the most powerful Republican in America. It would be a betrayal as well to vote for Obama.

I will vote third party, wash my hands of favoring either statist, and pray that enough Americans join me so that when the dust is settled, nearly two thirds of Americans voted against the new president elected by a scant 38 or 40% plurality, making him pretty much the most despised politician in the country. All the conservatives I voted for down-ticket would do better battle against an enemy on the defensive, weak, and vulnerable.

Turns out that doing my duty instead of shirking it because I reject both authoritarian statist candidates, could result in giving the good guys the best edge that, under the circumstances, they could get.

“Obama should explain why he thinks homosexual sex is something to brag about and be proud of.”

It’s not about sex. It’s about an “oppressed” group that is a voting block. Classic Cultural Marxism.

D Day, June 6, 1944-— Obama is the first president to ignore it. It is good to know he was busy courting the Homosexuals and not wasting his time commemorating the invasion of Normandy to stop the Nazis.

52% voted him in; 46% just said they were happy with him and would vote for him again.

America is circling the drain, if that’s accurate.

FRiend, I will not join you in the insanity of installing a five-front confirmed homosexual-promoting, health-care authorizing, global warming alarmist liberal statist Republican president.

That is what Romney IS. Voting for that is insanity, regardless of Obama.

Ready for ESPN to devote a whole month to this like they do Black History Month every February. At least a week of features on Billie Queen King.

Abhorrent, perverted behavior is nothing to be proud of.

Agreed. And I also don't like the MSM telling me these people are "gay." Gay is supposed to mean; 1a - happily excited, merry (in a gay mood), or b - keenly alive and exuberant, having or inducing high spirits.

Those folks are "HOMOSEXUALS," which means they live in a lifestyle that is, as you said above, "abhorrent and perverted."

It's not enough for the Marxist POS to totally ignore D-Day. Now he has to, once again, praise the queers.

I swear, November can't get here fast enough.

http://www.familyresearchinst.org/2009/02/violence-and-homosexuality/

Although the total number of victims dispatched by a given killer is often in doubt, (e.g., homosexual Henry Lucas claimed that he killed 350), it appears that the modern world record for serial killing is held by a Russian homosexual, Andrei Chikatilo, who was convicted in 1992 of raping, murdering and eating parts of at least 21 boys, 17 women and 14 girls. The pathology of eating one’s sexual victims also characterized Milwaukee’s Jeffrey Dahmer in 1992. He not only killed 17 young men and boys, but cooked and ate their body parts.
The top six U.S. male serial killers were all gay:

• Donald Harvey claimed 37 victims in Kentucky;

• John Wayne Gacy raped and killed 33 boys in Chicago, burying them under his house and in his yard;

• Patrick Kearney accounted for 32, cutting his victims into small pieces after sex and leaving them in trash bags along the Los Angeles freeways;

• Bruce Davis molested and killed 27 young men and boys in Illinois;

• A gay sex-murder-torture ring (Corll-Henley-Brooks) sent 27 Texas men and boys to their grave; and

• Juan Corona was convicted of murdering 25 migrant workers (he “made love” with their corpses).

Lesbian Aileen Wuornos laid claim in 1992 to “worst female killer” with at least 7 middle-aged male victims. She singlehandedly topped the lesbian nurse team of Catherine Wood and Gwen Graham, who had killed 6 convalescent patients in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Let’s see what our first commander-in-chief thought about sodomy in the US Armed Forces.

http://www.wnd.com/2011/01/248125/

“Here’s how the father of our country saw it: “It is required and expected that exact discipline be observed and due subordination prevail thro’ the whole Army, as a failure in these most essential points must necessarily produce extreme hazard, disorder, and confusions; and end in shameful disappointment and disgrace. The General most earnestly requires and expects a due observance of those articles of war established for the government of the Army which forbid profane cursing, swearing, and drunkenness; And in like manner requires and expects of all officers and soldiers not engaged on actual duty a punctual attendance on Divine service to implore the blessings of Heaven upon the means used for our safety and defence.

“His Excellency [George Washington] wishes [it] to be considered that an Army without order, regularity, and discipline is no better than a commissioned mob; Let us therefore … endeavor by all the skill and discipline in our power, to acquire that knowledge and conduct which is necessary in war – our men are brave and good; men who with pleasure it is observed are addicted to fewer vices than are commonly found in Armies; but it is subordination and discipline (the life and soul of an Army) which next under Providence, is to make us formidable to our enemies, honorable in ourselves, and respected in the world.

“Purity of morals being the only sure foundation of public happiness in any country and highly conducive to order, subordination, and success in an Army, it will be well worthy the emulation of officers of every rank and class to encourage it both by the influence of example and the penalties of authority. It is painful to see many shameful instances of riot and licentiousness. … A regard to decency should conspire with a sense of morality to banish a vice productive of neither advantage or pleasure.”

Which approach makes more sense to you – George Washington’s or Barack Obama’s?
