You mean we might not try to get people killed by calling in phony SWAT calls? We wouldn't use the IRS as a political tool? We wouldn't stand in front of voting areas with truncheons? We wouldn't deliberately get our friends killed for a small political gain? We won't slash the tires of our political opponents? We won't file false ethics charges just to drain bank accounts? We won't destroy people's livelihoods just because their state didn't vote for us?

Van Jones is scared silly . He has admitted that the TEA Party has been based on the ideas of the Constitution with its ideas of limited government , individual liberty , personal responsibility and that these ideas are not racist but they are extremely dangerous to the various flavors of socialists on the political left.
We on the right must keep up the pressure !!! Van Jones knows for a fact that if the TEA Party wins the college kids will start to ask questions along with a lot of folks on the left . That is what truly scares the Democrats/leftists/various flavors of socialism.
People asking questions & deciding that they want liberty is what truly terrifies the govt control freaks.

As far as the core of what education is *supposed* to do, besides teaching the 3-Rs, children need to able to read critically, write critically, and do basic mathematics. But, other subjects need to be added: civics, logic, grammar and rhetoric. Thinking independently is the antithesis of the liberal philosophy. Therein lies the problem, as well as parents who themselves, for whatever reason, are not involved with the schooling process. What happened to teaching the Classics? School is a babysitter for most....leaving the kids to the state to raise.
To produce students who can lucidly speak their ideas and formulate complex concepts is crucial in a free society. To reflect that our Founding Fathers were largely self-educated and principled, God-fearing men....they *would be shooting by now*.
