Former Penn State President Graham Spanier could face criminal charges in relation to the Jerry Sandusky case now that prosecutors have uncovered new evidence, NBC News reported this morning.

According to NBC, prosecutors uncovered emails sent in 2001 in relation to what former assistant coach Mike McQueary reported he saw in a Lasch Building shower. McQueary, a graduate assistant at the time, testified that he saw Sandusky doing something that appeared to be "severe" and "sexual" in nature.

Emails uncovered by investigators suggest Spanier conferred with former Senior Vice President for Finance and Business Gary Schultz, saying it would be “humane” to Sandusky to not alert authorities, NBC news reported.

In a statement, Penn State spokesman David LaTorre said the emails were uncovered in the process of the internal investigaton of Penn State being conducted by former FBI Director Louis Freeh.

“In deference to the legal process, the University cannot comment further on specifics of the ongoing legal case as it unfolds. We continue to work with the State Attorney General, the US Attorney and Judge Freeh in their investigations into this matter,” the statement read. “We will continue to cooperate fully with all legal processes to determine what happened and ensure personal accountability.”

Attorneys representing Schultz and former Athletic Director Tim Curley, both charged with perjury and failure to report suspected abuse, released a statement this morning saying the new evidence shows that their clients “conscientiously” considered what was reported to them by McQueary.

“[Curley and Schultz] reported it to the University President Graham Spanier, and deliberated about how to responsibly deal with the conduct and handle the situation properly,” the attorneys said in the statement.

No charges are filed against Spanier as of 10:30 a.m. Monday.

Graham Spanier is the fired former president of Penn State University as well as former Chancellor of the University of Nebraska. Remember the Franklin scandal at Boys Town in Nebraska during the 1980's? Similar to the Second Mile.

In addition to the Sandusky mess, Penn State also has a pervert psych professor Spanier wouldn't get rid of. Hopefully that will be covered as well.

So what happened to “it’s for the children?” Funny how the liberal academicians practice hypocrisy.

The buck stopped with Spanier. If this account is true, I hope they prosecute to the max.

I remember reading that the people of Nebraska considered him very liberal and they were happy when he left for Penn State.

They "deliberated"? What the heck is there to "deliberate"? Call the police and report what you know or even suspect.

Obviously they had to conduct an in-depth intellectual analysis before they could say for sure whether raping a little boy in the shower was "wrong" or just a "lifestyle choice."

The timeline shows what was the result of the deliberation process.

McQueary should be charged as well.

Calling the Chancellor and not calling the cops after witnessing the sexual assault of a child should be a crime.

Even left-leaning college administrators are starting to have second thoughts about the excesses of "gay-friendly" atmospheres on campus........these pedophile-havens have held numerous "homo-sensitivity training" sessions on campus......(read indoctrination).

Penn State's ex- prez Graham Spanier---is a "human sexuality scholar." How this guy got to be a college prez with that degree is amazing.

SPANIER actually held what he called a "C***fest" on campus and installed a special tent just to indoctrinate WRT homo sex practices.

Spanier is out as PS prez---but he and his wife are still on the PS payroll as tenured profs. Spanier also advocated wife-swapping----could be the reason why M/M Spanier are still getting paychecks---they must have some hair-raising stories to tell WRT group sex play on the PS campus.

M/M Spanier----looking for same-sex action?

=============================================

MILLION IN STATE AND FEDERAL EDUCATION GRANTS WERE CONTROLLED BY GRAHAM SPANIER We need to determine the extent of PS's federal, state and local government grants which emanate from an assortment of governmental entities. Besides the DOE, grants could have been issued by the EPA and DOJ for various campus projects----including monies private Foundations from a variety of private charitable organizations AND funding from more traditional sources, such as corporate and private foundations.

A full list of donors might be available from the Capital Research Center, a non-profit organization which studies advocacy groups.
